    The world needs love and many people need our help. Several years ago, my teachers asked me to take part in a programme that helped those who were1. Each week, I spent an hour in the classroom helping children with schoolwork, art projects, games and other2, including eating. My mother is a teacher, so I am used to helping children. However, I found that working with children with a special need would3my life forever.

    At first, I thought it would be4to be with the children who were so different, but gradually I found there was something special about these students. So there was no need to worry about it. Each Thursday I was welcomed by the smiling faces of Thomas, Joey and Missy. Thomas had to sit on the wheelchair. He communicated with simple words5yes and no. Joey, a deaf girl, always welcomed me with a big smile. Missy was born with a kind of6and it made her really small for her age. In a normal classroom, it may be common to hear a teacher comfort a child who is tapping his pencil, speaking7, or making unnecessary noises. However, here, shouts, cries, and other noises were8. They were signs of excitement and different ways of communicating.

    Working with children with a special need has changed my life. It has made me9others' needs. One of my teachers believes that we should be part of something bigger than10. I never realized how true this was until I worked with these children. I believe everyone should get out and do something that makes a difference.

    A rabbit named Bunny lived in a village near a forest. He was very clever and he never gave up 1. He chose a dead tree and made a home in the trunk. People 2him singing in the morning every day. As soon as the sun shone on his door, he left his home and went across a bridge to the3. He looked for some food there.

    One morning, while he was getting ready to sing as usual, a big storm began. It rained 4. What was worse, the bridge was 5. Bunny was very hungry, but there was no food in his home. He needed to 6 to find some food. He couldn't swim, so how could he find food in such a storm?

A little stream ran down from a high mountain far, far away through many villages and forests, until she reached a desert (沙漠). The stream then thought, "I've been through thousands of millions of difficulties. I should have no problems crossing this desert!" But as she started her journey, she found herself slowly disappearing into the sand. After many tries, she still failed and was very unhappy. "Maybe I can't reach the ocean in the end." she said sadly to herself.

At this time, a deep voice came, "If a breeze (微风) can cross the desert, so can a stream." It was the voice of the desert. But the little stream replied, "That's because a breeze can fly, but I cannot." "That's because you can't give up what you are. If you like to do it, let yourself evaporate (蒸发) into the breeze. It can take you across, and you can reach the ocean." said the desert.

"Give up what I am now and disappear into the breeze? No! No!" The little stream could not accept this idea. After all, she had never experienced anything like it before.

"The breeze can carry the vapor (蒸气) across the desert and let it leave as rain. The rain will form a stream again to continue its course." explained the desert very patiently.

"And whether you're a stream or vapor, your nature never changes." continued the desert. Hearing this, the little stream rushed into the open arms of the breeze, which carried her to the next stage of her life.

The course of our lives is like the experience of the little stream. If you want to overcome the difficulties in your life to get success, you should also change the way you used to be.
