    Every school seems to have a “bully”(欺凌). In fact, bullying goes on in schools all over the world. Bullying is a common situation at school. We need to get to know more about bullying.

    Who gets picked on? Bullies pick on people they think don't fit in—someone who doesn't “look the same” or isn't as “smart” or as “rich”. For example, shy kids often get picked on because of their characters. Physically hitting someone is the most obvious form of bullying, but insulting(侮辱), gossiping(说闲话) and making fun of others are also usual forms of bullying.

    What can you do to stop bullying? If you are the bully, think about how your actions hurt others. You can't build yourself up by putting others down. When you're feeling stressed or angry, find acceptable ways to deal with your frustrations.

    If you are the victim, tell a trusted adult and get some help. Many times adults can find ways to solve the problem. Here are some wise suggestions:

● Ignore(忽略) the bully and walk away.

● Hold your temper. Maybe the bully wants you to explode.

● Don't fight physically. It may lead to more violence.

● Practice confidence even if you have to pretend it.

● Talk with parents or teachers about it. They are sure to help you solve the problem.

● Make true friends at school. That may be helpful.

    My name is Jerry Zhang, and I am a father of two young daughters -- one is about four years old and the other is only about one.我来自中国，现在住在美国。

    One day, my older daughter, Madison, told me she didn't want to be Chinese. Those days she was quite interested in the book characters (角色) Madeline and Eloise. She asked me all the time why she was Chinese and they weren't, and how she could have yellow or red hair like them.

    This made me look for books with Asian (亚洲的) characters for Madison to read. However, I only found a few, and they were heavily cultural (文化的) and Madison didn't connect herself with any of the characters in them. And she wash' t interested in them at all Then she told me again that she didn't want to be Chinese, and it made me sad.

    In most of the books for children in the US, the characters look like Americans. There are over 17 million Asians and Asians and Americans in this count, but few of them have Asian faces. I think it's important for Asian children to see themselves in books as interesting and clever kids.

    So I created (创作) a book for Madison. Pepper Zhang in the book is an Asian girl. Her imagination (想象) takes her on a trip to creativity and art I want my children to know that being Chinese or being Asian is a great thing too.

    Mrs. Luo is a teacher from Shaoyang. She asked her students to hand in their homework through a QR code(二维码). "⑴When students finish the homework, they keep it on Wechat. So I can check their homework everywhere using my computer or mobile phone." said Luo.

    ⑵大多数学生喜欢这种新方式，认为它有趣. "We are living in the information age. Many students like to work with computers, which makes learning more fun." said Tingting, a student of Luo's.

    "The paper is not easy to keep, but the code is easy to keep and share," Luo said, "It is worth trying to use new technology in education. Education itself is a kind of creation. ⑶I don't want my students to fall behind the times."

    ⑷然而，一些父母有担忧. They are afraid that their children will spend too much time on computers and less time communicating with teachers. But in fact, it is unnecessary. Students still need to look up information in books and write it down when they do their homework. They only use the code when they hand in their work, which doesn't take them too much time. ⑸As for teachers, it allows them to check the students' work at any time. And it is also an easy way to share homework with other students.

Parents compete with others in their offices, our brothers and sisters compete with others in their colleges, and we compete with our classmates in schools. Most of us give up facing competition and will never be successful. Why can't we do better than others? One important reason is that we have no self﹣confidence.

    ⑵事实上，人人生而平等。You can do what others do. Your classmates may be better than you in some ways, but you may be better than them in other subjects. So everyone has his or her advantages.

    ⑶Don't look at things from a single point of view. Try to discover your own advantages, and believe that you can do better than others in those ways.

    I am a teacher in a middle school. I have a good friend called Mr White. He is the head of an office. He's often busy and has no time to do the housework. His wife knows him well and does all at home.

    Unluckily, their daughter Rose got hurt in a traffic accident two weeks ago, and had to be in hospital. Mrs White had to look after her there and she couldn't look after Mr White well. Mr White often ate in restaurants. As he never did any cleaning, the rooms were all in a mess(混乱) .

    Yesterday morning, before Mr White got up, the telephone rang. He sat up to answer it. His friend Tony told him to write down an important telephone number. But he could not find a pen or a piece of paper. He found there was much dust(灰尘) on the table and wrote the number on it with his finger. But soon he forgot about it and went to work.

    This morning, Mrs White and their daughter came back home.

    At noon, Mr White came in while Mrs White was cleaning the rooms. He sadly found the table was clean and the number was gone(不见了) .
