Hi, my name is Dave. I'm 8 1 old. My birthday is 2 December 12th. I have 3 birthday party every year. Today I have my 4 birthday party. I get some gifts at the party. 5 are very good and I really like them. This 6 T-shirt is from my mother. Green is my 7 color. My mother buys me a pair of green 8, too. My father buys some 9 about history for me, because I like 10 best. I think these books 11 very interesting. My grandparents 12 I like playing basketball, 13 they buy me a basketball. I can 14 it with my friends after class. I'm very happy today.

    “I'm really thankful to our government, for it provides us with such a good training program. The training greatly helps us live well. I will certainly study  1and learn the skills.     It was a cold snowy morning after the winter vacation. And it was my first1at my new school. I was walking alone slowly and 2about lots of things. It was early and there weren't many people on the road. Suddenly a girl who was 3a bike on ice fell down. She was trying hard to get up but fell again. 4 thinking, I went over and helped her. She said "5" with a smile and then rode away. Her words warmed me a lot.

    Finally, I got to school. The teacher led me to the 6 and introduced me to the class. Then he asked me to sit down beside a girl. I felt so 7 that I didn't dare to look at her. Soon the first class, 8, started. Their textbooks were different from those in my old school. As I was wondering 9 to do, an English book appeared in front of me.     There was something wrong1 Mrs Black's skin(皮肤), so she went to her doctor. But he could not find anything wrong. So he sent her to the hospital for tests. The hospital, of course, sent the results2the tests to Mrs Black's doctor, and3he called her to give her a list of the things. The doctor told Mrs Black4the food on the list. Because any of them may5the cause(病因)of her skin trouble.

    Mrs Black wrote all the things down on a piece of paper, 6she put it near the telephone. After that, she went to a meeting.

    When she got back home two hours later, her husband was waiting for her. He had a big basket full of the things, and7he saw her, he said, "Hello, dear, I bought all of the things8you.''

    "But9did you know what I needed?" she asked.

    "Well. When I got home. I saw your shopping list near the telephone." answered her husband. "so I went to the shops and bought everything you needed. ''

    "Oh, no, those things can make me feel10."

    I walked into the Huddle House Restaurant in Brunswick, Georgia and sat down at the table. I picked up the menu and was to order something for breakfast.

    "Excuse me," suddenly a soft voice came into my ear.

    I looked up and 1 a nice-looking woman standing before me.

    "Is your name Roger?"2 asked.

    "Yes, " I answered, feeling rather confused(困惑的) as I had never seen her before.

    "My name's Barbara and my 3 is Tony," she said, pointing to a middle-aged man sitting alone at the table by the window. He was 4 and weak.

    "Tony White, from Landon School in Jacksonville, Florida." She added.

    I looked at that man for a few seconds 5 I didn't recognize(认识) him.

    "I'm really sorry. The name doesn't ring the bell(听起来不耳熟), "I said.

    She walked back, began 6 with her husband and once in a while I saw her turn around and look directly at me.

    I ordered breakfast and a cup of 7, sitting there, trying to remember who this Tony was. "I 8 know him," I thought to myself. "He recognizes me for some reason." I picked up the coffee cup. Suddenly it came to me like a flash of lightning.

    "Tony, the bully(横行霸道者), the bad boy!" I could 9 believe my eyes. "Jesus! He's so thin now. Not the big boy that I 10 from back in 1977."

    Everything came up to my mind. The time this 11 boy had made fun of my big ears in front of the girls in my class, and the time this big bully had pushed me against the walls in the hallway just to make himself 12 a big man to all other students.

    "I am sorry, Roger," Tony rolled by me in the wheelchair, being pushed by his wife, raising his thin trembling hand. "I am so sorry for 13 that I did to you."

    "I'm…I'm er…" I didn't know 14 to say to him.

    A few months later, I received a letter from Barbara. Tony was 15. Tony had been a fireman and had been seriously wounded in a task.

    How I regretted(后悔) for not saying something to him but I no longer had the chance!

    Mr. Robinson had to travel somewhere on business, and as he was in a hurry, he decided to go by1. He liked sitting2a window when he was flying, so he got onto the plane and looked for a window seat. He3all of them taken except one. There was a young man4beside it, and Robinson was surprised that he had not taken the one by the window. Anyhow, he went towards it.

    When he5it, however, he saw that there was a notice on it, written6large letters, 7"This seat is kept for proper balance. Thank you. "Mr. Robinson had never seen such a notice before, but he thought the plane must be carrying 8 particularly heavy in its room which made it necessary to have the passengers properly balance. So he walked on and found9empty seat, not beside the window10.

    Two or three other people11to sit in the window seat next to the young man, but they also read the notice and went on. Then when the plane was nearly12a very beautiful girl13into the plane. The young man, who was watching the passengers coming in, 14took the notice15the seat beside him, and by this means succeeded in having a pretty companion during the whole trip.
