Plenty of people dream of going to Mars（火星）．{#blank#}1{#/blank#} different from those people, 13-year-old Alyssa Carson has been working {#blank#}2{#/blank#} 　(happy) for that dream since the age of 4，according to a new report which {#blank#}3{#/blank#} 　(make) by the BBC not long ago.

    Alytsa tells the BBC,“I hope{#blank#}4{#/blank#} (go) to Mars because it is a place that no one has been to before. I want to take that first step.” According to the BBC, she{#blank#}5{#/blank#}  (attend) USA's three world space camps so far.

    Her father, Bert Carson, tells the BBC that Alyssa plans to be on the first long journey to Mars which is expected to take place in{#blank#}6{#/blank#} year of 2033.“We are proud {#blank#}7{#/blank#}  her,”he says.“We have the next eighteen{#blank#}8{#/blank#} (year) planned out.”One of those plans is Alyssa attending the International Space University.

Of course，Alyssa's dream could come with{#blank#}9{#/blank#}  (big) sacrifices（牺牲）than others.[If Alyssa goes to mars，maybe {#blank#}10{#/blank#} is very difficult for her to return to Earth. Still，her father says，"If that's the only choice she has，she still wants to go.”Alyssa agrees.

We were going down the hill when my brakes(刹车) started making {#blank#}7{#/blank#} noise, but I didn't mind at all At midnight we were woken up by the noise in the hotel. We were tired {#blank#}8{#/blank#} we set off the next morning, but soon felt cheerful when the sun came out.

    What we enjoyed {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (much) about cycling is—it's simple and fun. I think nothing is {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (good) than cycling if you're looking for a break that is active and cheap.

    Wang Jinyuan is an eight-grader at Chongzhou High School, Sichuan. But thanks to an online course, he is studying with his peers(同龄人) at Yucai Middle School in Chengdu.

    Wang is not alone. Students from over 200 schools in Sichuan, Yunnan and Guizhou {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (do) the same thing now. They all use the online courses made by Yucai Middle School. The online course program {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (start) in 2007. The school records courses and offers them to other schools.

    The online courses give students new ideas. They {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (learn) a lot from their peers studying in the city for years. "I remember that a topic in English class was about volunteering," said Wan Linyi, 14."Students in Chengdu {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (share) a lot about their own experiences. But it was hard for me {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (talk) about it because I had little experience. It encouraged me to do more.

    "I will let my students discuss for themselves, rather than only watch. If necessary, I {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (show) them what their peers said in their discussion," said Wang's English teacher. Teachers further explain key points that students don't understand. Also, students can re-watch the videos after class.
