I am a student of a secondary school. Our school life is very i{#blank#}1{#/blank#}! My friends and I s{#blank#}2{#/blank#} hard at school. And we are good at lessons. We have a lot of time for our h{#blank#}3{#/blank#}. My classmates all want to join d{#blank#}4{#/blank#} clubs. Nick doesn't want to join the Art Club. He doesn't like drawing b{#blank#}5{#/blank#} it is too difficult for him. Nick likes p{#blank#}6{#/blank#} computer games. Mike loves s{#blank#}7{#/blank#}. He wants to join the football team. They p{#blank#}8{#/blank#} playing it every Monday at three thirty. I want to join the Music Club because I like l{#blank#}9{#/blank#} to music with my friends. The Music Club meets on Tuesdays at 3:15. My classmates and I are a{#blank#}10{#/blank#} very happy at school!

     Everyone needs friends. We all like to feel close to someone. We can share s{#blank#}1{#/blank#} with our friends and turn to them for help when we are in trouble. In a word, it is nice to have a friend to t{#blank#}2{#/blank#}，laugh and do things with. Certainly, sometimes we need to be alone. We don't always want people around. But we would feel 1{#blank#}3{#/blank#} if we never had a friend.

     To make f{#blank#}4{#/blank#}, you must be friendly. A cheerful person smiles. A smile always makes others like you. Smile at someone and you are sure to get a smile b{#blank#}5{#/blank#} from him

     Try to remember names. It m{#blank#}6{#/blank#} your new friends feel happy when you call them by their names, b{#blank#}7{#/blank#} you don't forget them.

     No two people are just the same. If you don't agree with other people, you should still be friendly. Do not argue, but d{#blank#}8{#/blank#}. You always lose friends if you argue too much. And you should think more of others than o{#blank#}9{#/blank#} yourself. It's good for teenagers to have one or a group of good friends. This is very i{#blank#}10{#/blank#} in children's growing up, because friends can discuss things which are too difficult to say to their family members.

     There's more good news for people who have friends. They live longer than people who don't have friends. Why? It could be that they are happier. Being happy helps you stay well and it could be good just knowing that someone cares about you.

    Most Chinese children seem to get {#blank#}1{#/blank#} they want. Is this a sort of spoiling(溺爱) or love? I wonder. To my surprise, it seems that the life of a Chinese child is {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (real) hard. Without doubt , the child is the very centre of a whole circle of adults, but {#blank#}3{#/blank#} the other hand, he or she is also {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (expect) to start studying according to adults' wishes. Many children of my son's {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (age) take painting classes, piano lessons, and even English lessons. It looks as if Chinese adults think {#blank#}6{#/blank#} just playing without learning anything is {#blank#}7{#/blank#} waste of time.

    So from this point, Western children appear spoiled, just because they are allowed{#blank#}8{#/blank#} (play). But without this sort of play, {#blank#}9{#/blank#} can Western children develop such free and rich imaginations? In fact, the connection between this imagination and the creativity is so important in the {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (child) future life.

    It is necessary to relax ourselves after the exam. There are some kinds of  activities for us to take part in. First of all, we can go for a w{#blank#}1{#/blank#} along the bank of the river. We can also go to the movies or listen to music. What's more, joining in a sports club is a good c{#blank#}2{#/blank#}, which can keep us healthy. For example, p{#blank#}3{#/blank#} football in the afternoon may relax ourselves. Above all, we should arrange(管理) our time p{#blank#}4{#/blank#} and live a regular(规律的) life. I hope all of us can have a wonderful time.

Our School Rules

    There are many rules in our school. School rules make us safe and happy.

    From Monday {#blank#}1{#/blank#}Friday, we have to get to school before 7:00 in the morning. We must wear our school{#blank#}2{#/blank#} and I think it is good for us because they can make us look smart. We must {#blank#}3{#/blank#} to our teachers carefully in class and finish our homework on time. We can't {#blank#}4{#/blank#}mobile phones in class.

    As a saying goes, “ Nothing can be accomplished without norms or standards.” We must follow our school rules,{#blank#}5{#/blank#}our school rules are sometimes quite strict.

    Once, in a small village, lived a family with two children, James and Jack. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} of them loved painting very much, but the family was so {#blank#}2{#/blank#} that it was impossible to send both of them to study at the art college at the same time. After many discussions, the two boys finally worked {#blank#}3{#/blank#} a plan. They would throw a coin. The loser would go to work in the mines（矿井） to support his brother's studies at the college. Then, when the brother at college {#blank#}4{#/blank#} his studies after four years, he would support the other brother's college studies.

    James {#blank#}5{#/blank#}, and so Jack went down into the mines. James worked with all his heart, and his paintings were soon much {#blank#}6{#/blank#} than those of most of his teachers. By the time he graduated, he was beginning to make a lot of money from his paintings.

    When James returned, the family held a big dinner to {#blank#}7{#/blank#} his great success. Soon after {#blank#}8{#/blank#} dinner began, James stood up from his seat to drink a toast to his dear brother. He said, "Jack, now you can go to the art college and your dream will come true. I will take care of you."

{#blank#}9{#/blank#} Jack said softly, "Brother, the four years in the mines has done too much to my hands, so it's too late. Now I can't even hold a glass."

James was heart-broken. One hour {#blank#}10{#/blank#}, he drew a simple picture of his brother's hands. This drawing is today known as the famous picture named The Praying Hands.
