Natural disasters cause trouble for a lot of people around the world each year. But different {#blank#}1{#/blank#} of the world experience different kinds of disasters. Some places have earthquakes {#blank#}2{#/blank#}others have typhoons(台风).

    Every disaster is different. But doing these three things can help you prepare yourself and keep your family{#blank#}3{#/blank#}.

Do some research

    Learn about the kinds of disasters that can {#blank#}4{#/blank#} in your area. How could those disasters affect your home, phones, power and water?

Make an emergency(紧急情况) plan

    In a disaster, you can't always travel. Sometimes phones stop{#blank#}5{#/blank#}, too. Decide where family members should {#blank#}6{#/blank#} if they can't get home safely. Make a list of important phone numbers and {#blank#}7{#/blank#}for everyone to keep in their bag or wallet.

Prepare for the worst

    What will you take if you need to leave your home {#blank#}8{#/blank#}? Clothes, water and food are important. ID cards and bank information are also important. If someone in your family {#blank#}9{#/blank#} medicine, you should take that, too. Keep {#blank#}10{#/blank#}things together in one place. In that way, you can get them in no time if you need them.

    A year has twelve months. My favorite month is October. October 1st is National Day(国庆节). We have a seven-day holiday(假期). During the holiday，my parents always take me to see my grandparents.

The art festival is fun. We have it on October 29^th. My birthday is also on this day. October is a really great month for me.
