'Usual boring day!' This would be the answer from Roman if somebody asked him how his day was. These days he found everything boring, nothing excited him.

One day he was lying in his room as usual. Suddenly light went off. His room was rather hot without an air conditioner. Though he did not want to leave his room, he had to. Unwillingly, he left his room and came to living room. Living room was slightly cool as it had two huge windows.

His young brother was playing with his friend. They were rolling on the floor. He was looking out for the TV remote, but couldn't find. He got up and searched it everywhere, but remote was nowhere. He looked at his brother who was still lying on the floor playing.

He asked him, "Where is the remote?" "Under the Sofa," his brother yelled.

He tried to look through, but it was dark. He put his hand under the sofa. He touched something, grabbed it and took his hand out. OMG! It was a snake in his hand!

After seeing that his brother started to yell," Snake, snake!" Mom came as soon as she heard their shouting. She too was horrified to see a snake. She was so scared that she even couldn't speak a word. Two kids were trying to hide into each other's back. "What an old trick!" Roman thought and threw it over kids.

As the snake landed on the floor near to the kids, it started moving from left side to the right. Only then did Roman realize that the snake was real, not a toy. He threw the snake over kids because he thought it was a fake snake and kids were playing some tricks.

This time mom almost got heart attack. Now he was scared too. The snake was only 10 meters away from kids and was staring at kids. They even couldn't call a rescue team. There might be some deadly damage before their arrival. There was not much time to think. It was the time for a quick action.

Paragraph 1:

As Roman was farther from the snake, he jumped to the window and grabbed the curtain.

Paragraph 2:

After the rescue team caught and took the snake away, everyone went inside the home.

In the busy city of New York, such an amazing thing ever happened. On a cold Friday night, a poor artist stood at the gate of the subway station, playing his violin. The young violinist was a student at an Arts College named Joseph, who did so every day in order to earn his tuition fees. He planned to attend advanced studies in Vienna and had booked the flight the next morning. Though the music was great, people were quickly going home for the weekend. Joseph was playing his last chapter when a middle _aged man looking pretty excited slowed down his pace and put 50 dollars into the hat, for which Joseph was grateful.

The next night, the young artist came to the gate of the subway station as usual, and put his hat on the ground gracefully. Different from the day before, he took out a large piece of paper and laid it on the ground and put some stones on it. Then he began playing the violin.

Before long, the young artist was surrounded with many passers—by, who were all attracted by the words on that paper. It said, "Last night, a gentleman named George Sang put an unexpected thing into my hat by mistake. Please come to claim it as soon as possible."

It caused a great excitement and curiosity. They were dying to know what the unexpected thing could be. After about half an hour, a middle aged man ran there in a hurry and rushed through the crowd to the violinist and grabbed his shoulders and said. Yes, it's you. You did come here. I knew that you are an honest man and would certainly come here."

The young violinist asked calmly,"Are you Mr George Sang?"

The man nodded .The violinist asked, "Did you lose something?"

"Lottery. It's lottery," replied the man.

The violinist took out a lottery ticket on which George Sang's name was seen.。"Is it?" he asked.

George nodded promptly and seized the lottery ticket and kissed it, and then he danced with Joseph.

An 80-year-old man was sitting on the sofa in his house along with his 45-year-old highly educated son. Suddenly a crow(乌鸦)perched(栖息)on their window.

The father asked his son, “What is this?” The son replied, “It is a crow.

After a few minutes, the father asked his son for the second time, “What is this?” The son said, “Father, I have just now told you, it's a crow!”

After a little while, the old father again asked his son for the third time, “What is this?”

At this time some expression of irritation(恼怒)was felt in the son's tone when he said to his father with a rebuff(生硬回绝). “It's a crow, a crow.” A little while later, the father again asked his son the fourth time, “What is this?”

This time, the son shouted at his father, “Why do you keep asking me the same question again and again, although I have told you so many times 'IT IS A CROW'. Are you not able to understand this?”

A little while later the father went to his room and came back with an old tattered(发皱的)diary, which he had maintained since his son was born. On opening a page, he asked his son to read that page. When the son read it, the following words were written in the diary:

“Today my little son aged three was sitting with me on the sofa, when a crow was sitting on the window. My son asked me 23 times what it was, and I replied to him all 23 times that it was a crow. I hugged him lovingly each time he asked me the same question. I did not at all feel irritated but I rather felt affection for my innocent son,

In our weekly staff meeting, our editor Ashley was not pleased with the quality of our reporting. "Our readership is way down. We need better stories for this Thursday's school newspaper. Does anybody have any ideas?" she said.

I handed her my article about our basketball team beating Deerfield High School the previous night by one point. "Sports stories are fun," she said, "but not good enough for the front page. We need something to really get people's attention."

After our meeting, we left the newsroom together and heard someone screaming, "Perry is missing!" Perry was a big red parrot and had been our school mascot(吉祥物) for ten years. He played an important role in students' lives, both in and out of class. He had also been a constant presence at school events, inspiring a sense of unity among students.

Everyone gathered around Perry's empty cage, heartbroken. Suddenly, a student from the crowd came over and showed me a photo. "You're a reporter for the school paper, right? I happened to take this yesterday," he said. In the photo was a Deerfield High School basketball player with something large hidden under his shirt around the size of a parrot.

"He must have stolen Perry to get back at(报复) us for winning the game!" Ashley cried. We hurried back to the newsroom, agreeing to run the photo on the front page with the headline "Deerfield Stole Perry". "This is just the story we need. Everyone will read it," Ashley said confidently.

After she left, I took a closer look at the photo. The clock in the background read 4:15 p.m., but our game against Deerfield hadn't started until 4:30 p.m. Why would the boy have taken Perry before we even played? An uneasy feeling came over me that we might have falsely accused someone.

I went to Perry's usual caretaker to ask if he knew Perry was missing. "He's not missing. He's retired. He's ready for some quieter days," he said. Learning the truth, I immediately told Ashley and suggested writing a story to say goodbye to Perry.

Paragraph 1:

To my surprise, Ashley insisted on reporting the "Deerfield Stole Perry" story.

Paragraph 2:

On Thursday, the paper came out with the headline "Bye Bye, Perry" on the front page.
