Nancy is reading an email from her American friend Jack. She is very happy to get the email. Jack writes about his school and his weekend. Jack's school is not very big, but it's beautiful. There are two buildings, two gardens and a playground.Their classrooms are big and clean. Jack likes his school very much.

    Jack doesn't go to school on the weekend. He often gets up at six on Saturdays and Sundays. Heruns in the park for half an hour. Then he eats breakfast. At eight, he beginsto do his homework.     My name is Lisa.  I'm from Canada.  I am in Shanghai American School. Our school is big and beautiful. There are 15 pupils in my class. Our Chinese teacher is Miss Wang. We have six lessons every day. I can speak a little Chinese. I have a good friend. Her name is Mary. She is tall and thin.

    Thanksgiving is a family holiday in autumn in Canada and the USA. In Canada, Thanksgiving is in October. In the USA, it is in November. On Thanksgiving, people have a big dinner with their family. They usually eat roast turkey and other delicious food. They also tell Thanksgiving stories and give thanks to their friends and families.

    In China, we also have a family holiday in autumn. It is Mid-Autumn Festival. People get together with their families to have a big dinner, too. They eat mooncakes, talk happily and enjoy looking at the beautiful round moon. Mooncakes are round like the full moon. Some people cannot go back home, but they can look at the moon and think about their families.

    Summer holiday is coming. Sally's father wants to visit Australia by plane because he thinks Australia is a big and wonderful country. But Sally's mother wants to visit Canada by car. She wants to go shopping in Canada. Sally wants to go to Sichuan because she can see her favourite animal pandas. She can eat delicious food in Sichuan, too. This summer holiday they will go to different countries!

B: But it's 9 p. m. now. The court must be closed.

A: Don't worry. We can climb over the wall.

B: Hey, Ben. I'm at the gate. Do you want to play football? I'm going to find you.

A: I'm sitting on the fence.

B: What? You are sitting on the fence? Hold on! I'm coming.

A: What are you doing, Mike?

B: I'm sitting on the fence now. You said you were on the fence. So I came to help you.
