Do you know Chinese movie legend Chow Yun-fat? Chow Yun-fat is a Chinese film and television actor, and is named "The Asia's greatest actor". Also, he is a photographer. Everyone likes him very much.

    Chow Yun-fat was born in Lamma Island, Hong Kong, on May 18, 1955. After his father died, his family became very poor. In his childhood, he helped his mother farm and raise chickens on the island. He was only at school for three years, and then left school to work as a porter, messenger, and salesman. In 1973, he was chosen to study in the third artist training class of the wireless TV station. He became a basic actor one year later. He went to Hollywood, the USA in 1995 and soon became the main actor in several films. He became a film superstar later.

    On October 15^th, 2018, Chow Yun-fat said he planned to give his total property $5.6 billion HKD (that's $714 million USD) to charity. "My dream is to be a happy and normal person, "Yun-fat told the reporter." The hardest thing in life is not about how much money you earn, but how to keep a peaceful mindset and live the rest of your life in a simple and carefree manner."

    Chow Yun-fat spends only $800 HKD ($102 USD) every month. He keeps frugal by taking a bus or train as often as possible and doing charity work instead of spending it on himself. He had a Nokia phone for 17 years. A few days ago, he had to use a smart phone, because his Nokia one stopped working. He always shops at discount clothing stores, because, he said: "I don't wear clothes for other people. As long as I think it's comfortable, then it's good enough for me."

    Mrs. Brown had a small garden behind her house, and in March she grew some vegetables in it. She looked after them very carefully（仔细地）, and when summer came, they looked very nice.

    One evening Mrs. Brown looked at her vegetables and said, “Tomorrow I'm going to pick them, and then we can eat them.”

    But early the next morning, her son ran into the house and shouted（喊叫）, "Mum, Mum! Come quickly! Some ducks from next door are in the garden and they are eating our vegetables! ”

    Mrs. Brown ran out, but it was too late! All the vegetables were finished! Mrs. Brown cried, and the owner（主人）of the ducks was very sorry, but it was too late.

    I travel a lot in my work, and what I dislike about my job is eating alone. It always makes me feel lonely to see others laughing and talking. So, eating in the room is a better choice for me.

    After eating alone in my room for three nights in Houston, I needed to get out of my room. Although the restaurant opened at 6: 30, I arrived at 6: 25. The waiter at the front desk made a comment (评论) about my "being there really early" in surprise. I explained that I hated eating alone in restaurants. He then took me to a lovely table near the window and asked me whether I would mind if he sat down with me for a while.

    I was glad! He sat and talked with me about his career goals (职业目标) and the difficulty of being at work on nights, weekends and holidays. He said he hadn't enough time to be with his family. After 15 minutes, he saw some customers at the front desk and excused himself. I noticed that before he went to the front desk, he stopped in the kitchen for a moment.

    Then another waiter came out of the kitchen and had a wonderful chat with me. Before I left that night, some other waiters, even the cook, came out of the kitchen and sat with me!

    When I asked for my bill about one hour later, all the people who had sat down with me came over in a big group to my table, and gave me a red rose. And I cried! What a beautiful experience!

    Because of his great achievements in this area, he was honored with a number of awards, including the National Medal of Technology in 1985, the Times cover character (封面人物) and the Most Successful Manager in 1997.

    Jobs' road to success wasn't an easy one. He experienced several ups and downs, but he was still standing. Just as Hemingway in The Old Man and the Sea said, "A man can be destroyed, but not be defeated(打败)." So he was considered as an American hero.

    What did Jobs' workers and family members think of him?

    On one hand, some workers described him as a strange, bad-tempered(坏脾气的) boss. They said he was impatient with those who disagreed with him or didn't understand his ideas. On the other hand, his family members thought of him as a home-loving dad with each of his four children. He worried about all the things of them, such as their boyfriends, travel, safety and even skirt length. Though he was quite busy, he still attended his daughter's graduation party.

Jeff was a poor farmer and he was short of money. His neighbours were rich and he was jealous(忌妒的) of them. Because of this, he didn't 1 his neighbours. Jeff had a vegetable field to 2 his family. As he grew old, he found it very 3 to work in the field as he had no bull toplow(犁) the field.

"Let's go u{#blank#}5{#/blank#}. We can do some {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(实验) together, " Tom advised. We went to the part for p{#blank#}7{#/blank#} on the second floor. There people could use a special computer to c{#blank#}8{#/blank#} the machines. We had great fun and spent the w{#blank#}9{#/blank#} afternoon there. 

The City Museum is really great, and it attracts people of all {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(年龄) every day. Everyone can find his or her favourite things in it.
