As we are growing up, we really need advice from adults. Here are three people talking about their experience.

You're not alone.

    Sometimes when you're a teenager, you feel as if you're all alone and there's {#blank#}1{#/blank#} you can talk to. Do you know twenty to thirty percent of teenagers in the US have a hard  {#blank#}2{#/blank#} going through the period? They feel lonely and sad. I think life is so much easier if you {#blank#}3{#/blank#} your troubles with others. I regret that I didn't take the advice when someone gave it to me.

Your teachers only want what's best for you.

    When I was in school, I never thought I'd become a teacher. I acted badly in class, and I feel{#blank#}4{#/blank#} about that now. I love my job and I know how challenging it is, so I hope kids can show their teachers more respect (尊敬). I hope kids can {#blank#}5{#/blank#} that teachers push them to do their best and not just to give them a hard time.

Anna, 29, doctor

Money doesn't grow on trees.

    When I was a teenager, I never learned {#blank#}6{#/blank#}to save money. I just spent it! My parents gave me everything I wanted, but I realize now they spent little {#blank#}7{#/blank#} themselves. Now I wish I knew more about planning my money, and I am not the only one! It seems that today's teenagers know about money planning even less  {#blank#}8{#/blank#}  me years ago. I do wish they could learn about it earlier.

    Maria Keller is from Minneapolis, Minnesota. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} she was 8 years old, she already loved reading. She noticed that some of her classmates didn't read as {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (most) as she did. When she asked her mother {#blank#}3{#/blank#} that could be, her mother said that they might not have enough money for books. Maria had never thought of this and decided {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (change) this.

    With her {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (mother) help, Maria created Read Indeed. Read Indeed collects and gives out books to kids in need for free.

    Maria set the goal to collect and give out one million books {#blank#}6{#/blank#} the time she was 18. She tried every means to achieve it. As a result, it didn't take long to reach that goal!

    Today, she {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (collect) over one million books and has sent them to many states and countries around the world. She says, "I can't live without books. As I continue my work, I have learned that {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (million) of kids are in need of books. So I just can't give up, even after {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (reach) my original goal."

    She has {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (recent) set a new goal: To give books to kids in need in every state in the United States, and every country in the world.
