    Holding doors open for people behind you, picking up litter, thanking people these acts of kindness s{#blank#}1{#/blank#} very small. But students at No.1 Middle School know that s{#blank#}2{#/blank#} small acts make the world a better place.

    Eighth-graders from this school, took part in the Random(随机的) Acts of Kindness Week f{#blank#}3{#/blank#} March 31 to April 4. During the week, they tried their best to do kind things for others. Murray, an English teacher at the school, started the activity. Since she was little, she has always tried to do small acts of kindness in her daily life. “I believe the world is c{#blank#}4{#/blank#} by small things,” she told the newspaper The Daily Times. Over the week, to her s{#blank#}5{#/blank#}  Murray also saw great changes in her class.

    Before that, she always needed to ask her s{#blank#}6{#/blank#} to push the chairs in or turn off the lights before they leave the classroom. Now, the students do those things by t{#blank#}7{#/blank#} . “The teachers have a lot of work,” said Jordon, one of Murray's students. He learned to care more about others. Eliza, a{#blank#}8{#/blank#} student, gave out more praise to others. “It makes them feel happy and successful,” she said. The activity made students feel that they can make a difference. Murray decides to continue to do at l{#blank#}9{#/blank#} one act of kindness every week, however busy she is. She b{#blank#}10{#/blank#} her acts can encourage others.

    To be honest, no matter how old we are, most of us love it when our parents do things for us. It makes our lives {#blank#}1{#/blank#}（comfortable）, and we have less to worry about.

    Some parents {#blank#}2{#/blank#}（prepare） almost everything for their children since they were born. They consider their older children（and sometimes even adults） {#blank#}3{#/blank#}babies! In big cities in China, most parents only have one child. They are afraid to let them go anywhere or do anything by {#blank#}4{#/blank#}（they）. As a result, their children fail {#blank#}5{#/blank#}（learn） social skills, and come to depend more on the parents!

    So some experts suggest that children shouldn't {#blank#}6{#/blank#}（take） good care of by their parents all the time. Children need their own time to develop into adults and to learn {#blank#}7{#/blank#}to deal with problems. It is not necessary for parents to care too much about the {#blank#}8{#/blank#}（safe） of their children. Too much care spoils（破坏） their fun when they are growing up. {#blank#}9{#/blank#}they may get into trouble when they can't depend on their parents, they can learn a lot from them.

    It is nice that parents show their care and attention to their children. It is nice that children know that their parents' care is the result of love. And it will be nicer if they are the children {#blank#}10{#/blank#}can let their parents know how much love they really need and how much love is too much.
