    Many people havegreat difficulty in saying goodbye. But from goodbye moments, we canalways learn something.

    Once, I overheard (无意中听到)a father and daughter in their goodbye moment. The father said, “I love you, Iwish you enough.” The daughter answered, “Daddy, our life together has beenmore than enough. Your lover is all that I need. I wish you enough, too, Daddy.”

    They kissed and she left …

    The fatherwalked over towards me. I could see he wanted and needed a cry. He came over tome and asked, “Did you ever say a forever goodbye to someone?” Before I couldanswer, he went on, “I am old and she lives much too far away. I know her nexttrip back would be for my funeral (葬礼).”

“When youwere saying goodbye I heard you say, ‘I wish you enough.' May I ask whatthat means?”

    He began tosmile, “It's a wish that has come down from my great-great-grandparents.And my parents used to say it to me.”

    He stoppedfor a moment and looked up as if trying to remember it. He smiled evenmore.

“When wesaid ‘I wish you enough,' we were wanting the other person to have alife full of enough good things.”

    Then, turningtowards me, he shared (分享)the following “wish” from his heart.

    I wish you enough sun to keep youbright.

    I wish you enough rain to appreciatethe sun more.

    I wish you enough happiness to keep you alive.

    I wish you enough pain so that thesmallest joys in life appear much bigger.

    I wish enough hellos to get you through thefinal goodbye.

    My friends, I wish you enough.

    I have spent almost a third of my life in China, living and working in this beautiful country. In a sense, China has been and is still my second home But in those past years I ha d never been to Quzhou.

Some days ago, for the first time in my Chinese life, I stepped into the beautiful city of Quzhou. My impressions of Quzhou city were as I always thought: green countryside, rainy sky, wet air. That was what I imagined for years the south of China would be. When we finally arrived, I was impressed by the elegant (优雅的) city.

Next day we were taken to visit some places not far away from the city. I was not aware of the direction of our short trip, but when we arrived at Lanke Mountain and got out of the car, I thought that we had been taken to a fairyland (仙境) : the light rain over the green and thick plants, the silvery sky like a heavy blanket and the mystery (神秘) of this mountain made me feel like being part of a picture.

Jiulong Lake was our next step. The mystic atmosphere (气氛) of this place was so strong that I decided to watch the view standing at the top when I stepped into the small boat to sail upstream. Sometimes we were so close to the mountain that we could clearly see the red soil under the plants. I was thinking of the joy to be in a place like Jiulong Lake and how it would be to live among those hills for a while.

    The final leg of the day's journey was a primary school. We were welcomed by the smiles on the faces of many young pioneers. The energy of the hundreds of kids made me feel younger for a while, so educated, so polite and so warm that I had no doubt about the future generations of Quzhou people. The people seem to me the best of Quzhou and they will remain in my memories forever.

    Mrs. Hunt comes back from work. She tells Mr. Hunt about a nice dress. “I see it in the shop every day,” she says “and…”

    “And you want to buy it?” says Mr. Hunt. “How much is it?”

    “Two hundred and sixty dollars.”

    “Wow, two hundred and sixty dollars for a dress? That's too much!”

    But every evening when he comes back, Mrs. Hunt only speaks about the dress, so at last he says, “Oh, buy the dress! Here is the money!” She is very happy.

    But the next evening, when Mr. Hunt wants to have a look at the nice dress, Mrs. Hunt says “I don't want to buy it.”

    “Why not?” he asks.

    “Well, it's still in the window of the shop after a week. So I think no one wants this dress. And I don't want it, either.”

    A farmer was put in prison(监狱). One day, he got a letter from his wife. "I am worried about our farm," she wrote. "It's time to plant potatoes, but I can't do all the digging(挖) by myself." The farmer thought over and then had an idea. He wrote to his wife, "Don't dig the fields. This is where my gold(金子) is. Don't plant potatoes until I come home." A few days later, the farmer got another letter from his wife. It said, "Two days ago, about ten prison guards(监狱看守) came to our fields. It looked as if they were looking for something. They have dug our field." The farmer wrote to his wife at once. "Now you can plant our potatoes," he wrote.

My favourite teacher is Mr Zhao. He has made {#blank#}1{#/blank#} big difference in my life.

On my first day at school, I was  {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (real) shy and nervous. But Mr Zhao was {#blank#}3{#/blank#} kind that I soon forgot about that. In his class, he asked us {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(draw) a picture of ourselves. When he got to  {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(I) desk, he looked at my picture and said, "Wow! I like those bright {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(colour)! That's great!" I felt {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(relax) at once.

Mr Zhao is patient and he always  {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(tell) us not to worry about giving wrong answers. Also, he shows us how to learn {#blank#}9{#/blank#} our mistakes. Now I am in the {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (nine) grade, and I'm leaving school. I will remember all the suggestions he has given me.

Cliff is a businessman. He is very rich but he doesn't feel happy. One day, he was driving his car around town, looking at the people through the window. Suddenly, he saw 1 lonely man sitting in a square, and he was smiling. He drove past2 .

A few days later, Cliff 3 by the square. There he saw the lonely man again,completely happy. The next day, he chose the same way because he wanted 4 if the lonely man would be in his place and again he was there. Finally,he asked him "5 are you so happy? Almost every day I see you here and it seems that you are really happy."

"You're right, sir," said the lonely man.

Cliff was 6 ,"Do you have lots of money? Why 7 you always smiling?"

"I don't have 8 , sir. I don't have a home or a family. I don't have good health, either." answered the lonely man.

"What brings you happiness then? I have everything 9 I'm unhappy." Cliff asked.

"I accept that the best thing for me now is who I am, where I am and what is happening to me. I accept it 10 gratitude (感激) and a smile." answered the lonely man happily.
