    It's seven forty in the morning. The children are coming into the classroom. A girl is opening the windows. Some are laughing and talking. Some are listening to them. Some are reading books. Some are doing their homework.

    Miss Gao is standing behind the teacher's desk. She is writing on the blackboard. Sue and Han Mei are wearing their new dresses today. Ann is cleaning her desk. Mike is helping her. They all look happy.

What are Bill and Lin Tao doing? Oh, dear! They are still playing basketball!

    I have a pencil box. It's blue. There are lots of things in it. I have a pen. It's red and long. I like it. I have three pencils. They are short. I have a ruler. It's big. I have an eraser. It's small.

Lily: Amazing! I hope it's to the sea. I can swim and play with sand.

Dad: No! I hope it's a camping holiday. I can sleep in a tent and get lots of fresh air.

Ben: No! I'd like to go to the sea in a ship. I can watch fish and eat nice food.

Mum: Well, I'd like to go to a big city. I can go shopping.

(The phone rings.)

Grandma: Hello! This is Lucky Holidays. You've won a holiday to sunny Dalian.

Lily: Dalian? That's where Grandma lives!

Grandma: Haha! This is Grandma!

Lily: Oh, Grandma! You tricked us!

Grandma: Come and have a nice summer holiday with me, will you?

Lily: Sure! That's great!

Dear Daming,

    I like collecting stamps. I've got many stamps. They are from different countries. I have some Chinese stamps. They are from my Chinese friend, Xiao Doudou. And one has got a picture of the Great Wall on it. I like it very much.
