Once there was a man. He lived with monkeys. He played {#blank#}1{#/blank#} the monkeys. He even like {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (talk) to the monkeys.

    The man loved the monkeys and treated them like his own children. That's why he was {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (call) Papa Monkey.

    Every day, Papa Monkey gave some bananas to his monkeys. He gave them in the morning and at night.

    One day, Papa Monkey almost {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (run) out of bananas. He called his monkeys together. "I'm sorry," he said, "I can only give you three bananas in the morning {#blank#}5{#/blank#} four bananas at night.

    When the monkeys heard this, they {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (be) very unhappy. "Only three bananas in the morning?" cried the monkeys. "Give {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (we) more bananas, please!"

    His uncle called him "Sparky" after a comic strip horse named Spark Plug. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (get) a good mark was almost impossible for Sparky.

    Sparky {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (fail) every subject in the eighth grade. Throughout his youth, he didn't have any friends because no one really cared about him. In fact, Sparky would be {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (surprise) if a classmate ever said hello to him. Sparky was a loser. He, {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (he) classmates…everyone knew it.

    However, one thing was important to Sparky—drawing. He was proud {#blank#}5{#/blank#} his artwork. He decided to become an artist. So, after completing his school, Sparky showed some of his artwork to Walt Disney Studios. {#blank#}6{#/blank#} it was refused.

    Sparky didn't give up. Instead, he decided {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (tell) his own life's story in cartoons. He created a cartoon character named Charlie Brown, a little boy who soon became famous worldwide. And Sparky is one of the most {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (success) cartoonists, Charles Schultz.

    Sparky's story reminds us that we all face difficulty from time to time. But {#blank#}9{#/blank#} to deal with it? That's the choice we can make. In fact, there are no "losers" at all. It just takes some winners a {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (long) time to develop than others! Remember to try your best in whatever you do and then success will come to you in the end.
