    Shanghai No. 8 Middle School began to use a new bell this term. It helps teachers {#blank#}1{#/blank#} （记起） it is break time. The new bell has three parts. The {#blank#}2{#/blank#} （第一） part lasts 15 seconds. It is made up of {#blank#}3{#/blank#} （可爱的） folk music. Next, there are 20 seconds of silence. The final 25-second bell is a fast-paced march(快节奏进行曲)that seems to tell each teacher, "You have to end class now."

    All the students welcome the new bell. Chen Yong, a student, said, "We tried many ways to stop teachers before, but {#blank#}4{#/blank#} （没有什么）worked. It's {#blank#}5{#/blank#}（更好）now. When the folk music is on, teachers know that class is going to be {#blank#}6{#/blank#} （结束）in one minute."

    Shen Huimin, a teacher at No. 8 {#blank#}7{#/blank#}（赞成） that the new bell is {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (创造性的). "In the past, we usually wanted to add a few words after class. But we often {#blank#}9{#/blank#} （忘记） the time," Shen said. "But now the new bell reminds（提醒） us {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (两次). It's a small change, but it's really solving a big problem."

    In many English homes, people eat four meals a day: {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (早饭), lunch, afternoon tea and dinner.

    People have breakfast at any time {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (从) seven to nine in the morning. They have porridge, {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (鸡蛋)or bread. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (England)people drink tea or coffee at breakfast.

    Lunch comes at one o'clock. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (下午)tea is from four to five in the afternoon. And dinner is at about half past seven. {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (首先)they have soup, and then they have meat or {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (鱼肉) with vegetables. After that, they eat sortie other things, like bananas, {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (苹果)or oranges. {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (但是)not all English people eat like that. Some of {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (他们)have their dinner in the middle of the day, Their meals are breakfast,  dinner, afternoon tea and supper and these meals are very simple(简单的).

    If you live in Shanghai or Beijing, you may see some orange bicycles on streets these days. These orange bikes are from a c{#blank#}1{#/blank#}called Mobike, You can order a bike through its app on your phone. When you find the bike, you just scan the QR code(扫描二维码) so you can use it. You don't need to r{#blank#}2{#/blank#} the bike to a station, just park it somewhere.

    China was known as "the kingdom of bicycles" around 30 years ago. But lately more people don't ride bicycles. They c{#blank#}3{#/blank#} to drive cars and catch the underground, Now, bike rental(租赁的) services like Mobike are bringing biking b{#blank#}4{#/blank#} to people's lives.

    Now, online rental services make biking much more fashionable, but it's still not e{#blank#}5{#/blank#} to ride bikes in Chinese cities. Cars usually take up bicycle lanes. Bikers have to ride next to cars in car lanes, which can be very d{#blank#}6{#/blank#}.

    This is why Beijing will build over 3,200 km of new bike lanes, according to Beijing Municipal Commission of Development and Reform (北京市发改委). Drivers who p{#blank#}7{#/blank#} on bike lanes will be punished. Traffic signs will be put on roads to better protect bikers.
