Do you know Ma Yun?He is Founder and Chairman of Alibaba(阿里巴巴)Group.Ma was born in Hangzhou.At an early age,Mawanted to learn English so he rode his bike each morning in order to go to a nearby hotel and talked with foreigners.He would guide them around the city for free in order to practice and improve his English.

Ma is never afraid of failure in his youth.Although he failed the university entrance exam three times,Ma entered Hangzhou Normal Univrsity(师范大学).He majored in English and graduated in1988.While at school,Ma was elected student chairman.He later became a lecturer(讲师) in English and International Trade at the Hangzhou Dianzi University.

    It is a true story. Once upon a time, one of Alex's horses was stolen by his neighbor. Alex went to the neighbor's home with a policeman to get his horse back. But the neighbor refused to give the horse back. He said that it was his horse.

    Suddenly Alex had a good idea. He put both of his hands over the eyes of the horse and said to the neighbor, “If this is your horse, then you must tell us in which eye the horse is blind.”

    “In the left,” said the neighbor. Alex took his hand from the left eye of the horse and showed the policeman that the horse was not blind in the left eye.

    “Oh, I have made a mistake,” said the neighbor. “He is blind in the right eye.” Alex then showed that the horse was not blind in the right eye, either.

“I have made another mistake,” said the neighbor.

    “Yes,” said the policeman, “and you have also proved that the horse isn't yours. You must give it back to Mr. Alex. ”

    Huw Thomas fell in love with Megan. But then an accident changed his life, and he had to move to Canada. Megan promised to write to him. But Huw never heard from her … until one day a letter arrived.

    John was a poor man in a small village. He tried to grow as many vegetables as possible in his yard, so he didn't have to buy so many in the market.

    One evening, John was reading in his room. All of a sudden, he heard a noise in his yard and he looked out of the window. A white bull (公牛) was eating his vegetables. That burnt him up. He at once went out with his stick and ran after the bull. However, he was too old to catch it. When he got back, he found that most of his vegetables were ruined (毁坏).

    The next morning, while John was walking near his house, he saw two white bulls. They looked very much like the one that had eaten his vegetables. He was carrying his stick with him, so he at once began to beat the two bulls with it. As neither of them looked more like the bull that had eaten his vegetables than the other, he beat both of them very hard.

    The owner of the bulls saw that and shouted, "Hey! Why are you beating those poor animals like that? What have they done?"

    "You keep out of this!" John shouted back, "That's a matter between me and one of the two bulls. _________"

    The owner couldn't even say a word.
