Take a tour of Monkey Park

    Situated between Jerusalem and the coastal city of Tel Aviv, Israel's Monkey Park is home{#blank#}1{#/blank#}more than two hundred and fifty different species of monkeys.

    Considered one of the country's most popular animal{#blank#}2{#/blank#} (attract), Monkey Park offers a unique experience while{#blank#}3{#/blank#} (educate)the public about these lovely creatures. It{#blank#}4{#/blank#} (run)by the Israeli Primate Foundation, a nonprofit organization whose aim is{#blank#}5{#/blank#} (provide) a rehabilitation(康复)center for monkeys.

    Over the last two years the park has received 650 monkeys from a breeding farm that shut down. Most monkeys in{#blank#}6{#/blank#}park live in enclosures (圈地). Visitors are able to view them up close and, thanks to one{#blank#}7{#/blank#} (special) designed section, are even able to interact with them. Right outside the visiting area is the rehabilitation center. That's{#blank#}8{#/blank#}monkeys who need care are being nursed back to health.

    Among the family-friendly activities{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(offer) at Monkey Park for human visitors are workshops, rides and wall climbing. There are also comprehensive guided walking tours{#blank#}10{#/blank#}last up to three hours.

    One feature of the Monkey Park is the children's playground. But it's still the monkeys that attract people most.

    When Jack was a small boy, he was once asked to give a speech about “A Big Challenge in My Life”．To talk before the whole class, he was {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (terrible) shy the moment he thought of so many eyes {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (stare) at him. He had no other{#blank#}3{#/blank#} (choose), though. First Jack was to draft the speech, which was just a piece of cake for him because he was a good writer. But the hard part {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (lie) in his oral presentation, for it was not allowed to read from the paper. He had to give the speech {#blank#}5{#/blank#} his memory and in front of such a big audience!

    A real trial began when Jack stood on the platform with his legs trembling and his mind blank. He didn't know how much time had passed by. His listeners were still waiting patiently and without any signs of laughing. Gradually he found himself back, {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (give) out his speech without much difficulty. After what seemed to be a hundred years, he found the audience applauding. He made {#blank#}7{#/blank#}！From then on, his fear of talking before the audience disappeared. Actually with his confidence {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (build) up, Jack now turns out to be a great speaker. As we know, the greater difficulty we meet on our way to {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (succeed), the {#blank#}10{#/blank#} likely we will achieve our goals.

    Coffee bars, live music, cinemas and shopping malls—Chinese cities offer everything that a young person might want. But there are many young people who hardly have time to enjoy these things. That's because they follow what is called the "996" work schedule (时间表) {#blank#}1{#/blank#} at 9 am and finishing at 9 pm, six days a week.

    The "996" work schedule has recently become a hot topic of discussion online after a computer programmer set up a website called "996.ICU". According to the website, working a "996" schedule {#blank#}2{#/blank#} enough rest is unhealthy and could cause people to end up in an intensive care unit (ICU,重症监护病房). This work schedule is now widely used at Chinese tech companies like Baidu, Alibaba and Huawei, New York Times reported. It causes many tech industry workers to complain. One worker from Baidu company said, "I know I am not the {#blank#}3{#/blank#} worker who works overtime I have worked ‘996' for nine months and I haven't received any overtime pay. It's unfair though quite common." Another worker named Zhang told Quartz, "I can't sleep well and become ill because of the great pressure. I feel really tired, so I am considering giving up this job and looking for {#blank#}4{#/blank#}."

    However, the bosses of some tech companies have supported "996". Jack Ma, founder of Alibaba, said it's "a huge treasure" for young workers to work "996". "If you don't put more time and energy than others, how will you achieve the success you want? If you don't work ‘996' when you're young, {#blank#}5{#/blank#} will you?" he said.

    Many have questioned Ma's words. In a passage in People's Daily, one writer said "Working ‘996' is just working overtime. However, working overtime does not {#blank#}6{#/blank#} working hard. Working hard requires efforts and working wisely and effectively."

    A lawyer called Cui Zhendong told China Daily that it is against the {#blank#}7{#/blank#} to use a compulsory (强制的) "996" work schedule. China's Labor Law clearly announces that workers should work no more than eight hours a day {#blank#}8{#/blank#} more than forty-four hours a week.
