    Charlotte Simmonds is a 17-year-old student from Sydney, Australia. Charlotte spends most of her flee time on the beach {#blank#}1{#/blank#}she is also a surf(冲浪) life saver. Her job is to save {#blank#}2{#/blank#} on the beach or in the water, but she doesn't get any money {#blank#}3{#/blank#}this. When she grows up, she {#blank#}4{#/blank#} to work as a life saver on some of the most famous surf beaches in the world.

    Charlotte joined a surf life savers' club with her older brother and sister when she was {#blank#}5{#/blank#}five years old. "We lived near the beach but my parents were Very{#blank#}6{#/blank#}in their shop, so they didn't have time to play with us. Joining the club was a great Way to meet other {#blank#}7{#/blank#} keep healthy and most importantly, we could spend hours on the beach. We {#blank#}8{#/blank#}to swim and surf at an early age. At the age of 15, I {#blank#}9{#/blank#}a surf life saver and soon after that I saved somebody in the water."

    Charlotte loves helping people on the beach. "Everybody can see {#blank#}10{#/blank#}on the beach because we wear red and yellow hats, shirts and shorts: If you can't see us, that means we can' t see you, So maybe you aren't safe," she said.

    The largest in the world-and the only one in China-the Gulangyu Piano Museum is hard to miss, thanks to an eye-catching figure that looks like piano keys. Inside, more than 100 shining pianos,{#blank#}1{#/blank#}a precious old-plated piano and an antique(古董的) hand piano, provide the island's musical heritage.

    The tiny island is{#blank#}2{#/blank#} free of cars and bikes, except the tourist trolleys(电车) Then there are the 19th-century buildings of{#blank#}3{#/blank#}style and leafy seaside footpath. The beaches of Kulangsu might not be the same as the Philippines', but they're very clean-with white sand and palm trees.

    The highest point on the island offers{#blank#}4{#/blank#}of the island's red rooftops and of downtown Xiamen across the river. Climbing to its top is great in the evening because the crowds are thinner, and you can watch the sunset and skyline of Xiamen begin to twinkle.

The little girl put her doll {#blank#}1{#/blank#} to the shelf（架子） and ran over to the computer game. After she talked to her father, she {#blank#}2{#/blank#}for the computer game and said to the shop assistant in a low voice.

So the boy got the computer game that he wanted for free（免费）—he was told it was a prize from the store. He smiled {#blank#}3{#/blank#}, although he felt it was so unbelievable.

The girl saw all this happen. She smiled happily, too.

When I walked out of the store to my car, I heard the father ask his daughter why she had done that. I would never {#blank#}4{#/blank#}their short talk. "Daddy, didn't Grandma want me to buy something that would {#blank#}5{#/blank#}me happy?"

He said, "Of course, she did."

"Well, I just did!" With that, the little girl started skipping(蹦跳) towards their car happily.
