This is Jim's room. It's not big, but it's very clean(干净的). There is a bed in the room. It's near the door. Under the bed, there are two balls. There is a desk and a chair near the window. There is a bookcase beside the desk. On the bookcase, there are many books and newspapers(报纸). There are two pictures in the room, too. They are on the wall.

    Tom likes kites and robots. John likes toy trains and cars. Peter likes toy bears and bikes. Mary likes toy bears and kites. Bill likes balls and kites.

The cat is calling you

    Mrs. Brown has a young cat, and it is the cat's first winter. One evening the cat is outside when it is snowing heavily. Mrs. Brown looks for(寻找) it everywhere and shouts the cat's name. But she can't find it. So she telephones the police and says, "I lost(丢失）a small black cat. Does anybody find one?" "No. But cats are strong animals. They can live in the snow for days."

    She feels very happy when she hears this, "And my cat is very clever. She almost talks. "

    "Why don't you put your telephone down? Perhaps your cat is trying to telephone you now," says the policeman.

Mike and Helen are on the phone.

Mike: Hello, this is Mike. Who's that?

Helen: Hello, Mike. This is Helen. Tomorrow is Saturday. What are you going to do?

Mike: I don't know. How about you?

Helen: Let's go to Chinatown together.

Mike: That sounds like a great idea, but there are often a lot of people there on Saturdays.

Helen: That's right. But there's Chinese dancing tomorrow.

Mike: Wow, that's great! Is there anything else?

Helen: Yes, there is a food festival. Chinese food is delicious.

Mike: Okay. Let's go to Chinatown tomorrow.

Helen: Great! See you tomorrow.

    Hi! My name is Mike. Today is Saturday. My family are at home now. Look, my grandpa is reading a newspaper (报纸) in his bedroom. My grandma is cooking a big meal in the kitchen. My mother isn't cleaning the rooms. She is washing clothes in the bathroom. My father loves his car very much. He often washes his car at the weekend. But now he's mopping the floor! And I am doing my homework in the study. What is my little brother Bill doing? He's watching TV with the dog. Everyone in my family is very busy.
