Our favorite things

    What do you like? Different people l{#blank#}1{#/blank#}different things. Some people like l{#blank#}2{#/blank#}music. Other people like soft music.

    Many people like sports, b{#blank#}3{#/blank#}they do not all like the same sports.

    In some countries, cricket is a very p{#blank#}4{#/blank#}sport. In others it is not popular at all. No one plays it. No one w{#blank#}5{#/blank#}it on television. Most people like soccer, thus, the World Cup is very popular. M{#blank#}6{#/blank#}of people watch it on television.

    D{#blank#}7{#/blank#}people like different foods. Some people do not like meat. They mostly eat v{#blank#}8{#/blank#}.Some people do not like potatoes or bread. They p{#blank#}9{#/blank#}rice or corn.

    Not everyone likes the same color. Some people like bright color. Others prefer pale color.

    The world is an i{#blank#}10{#/blank#}place because we all like different things.

    During the past one hundred years, there have been many inventions. Most of them make our life much {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (容易) and more interesting. TV is one of them. Many people enjoy watching TV for {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (乐趣). Some even believe that TV has {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (使得) their children smarter because there are all kinds of information on it such as news, {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (科学),sports, music and language. Children can learn a lot from TV in a short time without going out. Many parents are happy to know this because they {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (自己) are too busy to spend time with their children.

    But we have found that more and more children today have problems {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (阅读), thinking and concentrating even though they have watched a lot of TV. In fact, getting much information doesn't {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (意味着) real learning. Children who watch too much TV don't have {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (足够) time to think or communicate with people. {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (除此之外), it takes time and love for children to grow up.  What children need {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (最多) is their parents. Parents give children love, help them solve problems and teach children what real life is.
