One morning, I was waiting at the bus stop, worried about{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(be) late for school.

        There were many people waiting{#blank#}2{#/blank#}the bus stop, and some of them {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(look) very anxious{#blank#}4{#/blank#}disappointed . when the bus finally came, we all hurried on board. I got a place next {#blank#}5{#/blank#}the window, so I had a good view of the sidewalk. A boy on a bike {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(catch) my attention. He was riding beside the bus and waving his arms. I heard apassenger behind me shouting to the driver, but he refused {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(stop) until we reached the next stop.Still, the boy kept {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(ride). He was carrying something over his shoulder and shouting. Finally, when we cameto the next stop, the boy ran up to the door of the bus. I heard an excitedconversation. Then the driver stood up and asked,“{#blank#}9{#/blank#} anyone lose a suitcase at the last stop?” Awoman on the bus shouted, “Oh, dear! It's{#blank#}10{#/blank#}(I )”. She pushed her way to thedriver and took the suitcase thankfully, Everyone on the bus began talkingabout what the boy had done, and the crowd of strangers suddenly becamefriendly to one another.

    Chuck Wall teaches management and human relations at Bakersfield College. One day, he told his students that their homework was to perform a simple and random act of kindness. Not  {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(understand) the homework, the students didn't know what to do. Chuck didn't answer their questions. {#blank#}2{#/blank#},he encouraged his students to work it out by themselves.

    One week later, the students entered the classroom and began sharing their stories {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(excited). One student reported helping a poor dog {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (abandon) by its owner. Another student told others about giving blankets away to the homeless. Gradually, more and more students developed the habit of doing such kind acts, from {#blank#}5{#/blank#} they benefited a lot.

    Since then, similar kind acts{#blank#}6{#/blank#} (perform) in schools around the world. Many schools organize a Random Acts of Kindness Week{#blank#}7{#/blank#}(celebrate) World Kindness Day. Some schools use each day of the Random Acts of Kindness Week to perform a {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(differ) kind act, such{#blank#}9{#/blank#} making a new friend, helping someone, doing community service or raising money for a charity. In this way, students learn to consider other people and think about how small actions can make the world a{#blank#}10{#/blank#} (good) place.

    Recently Linda hasn't felt herself. She was a really good student, but her grades {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(fall) since three months ago. This is because she sometimes has trouble {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(put) her heart into her study. She also refuses {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(talk) with teachers and friends. What's worse, she feels {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(tire)all the time but has {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(difficult) in falling asleep. Her behavior attracts her mother's attention. Her mother asks her {#blank#}6{#/blank#}happens to her, but she just cries.

    As {#blank#}7{#/blank#}matter of fact, Linda is suffering from clinical depression(临床抑郁症).What is clinical depression? It can be described as a mood which is {#blank#}8{#/blank#} low that it affects your daily life seriously. The first signs of it in teens are {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(poor) school reports than before, learning difficulties and staying away from classmates and teachers. If you have these signs, don't worry. It is not so difficult to deal {#blank#}10{#/blank#}clinical depression. There are many effective ways, such as medicine, small talk, more exercise and a balanced diet.
