I borrowed {#blank#}1{#/blank#} story book from the library the other day and took it home. One evening, having finished supper, I went back to my room and started to read the book that I {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (borrow). Wet through and colored brown, the book turned out to be a {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (terribly) mess at once. Of course, I couldn't return the dirty book and the loss should be covered. The next day, I went to the {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (big) bookstore in my city, {#blank#}7{#/blank#} there were various kinds of books. I finally found several {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (copy) of the same book and bought {#blank#}9{#/blank#} . When I returned the new story book and explained the reason, the librarian accepted the book and praised me for my honesty and {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (responsible)

     A festival for the Dead is held once a year in Japan. This is a traditional festival in Japan and many {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(celebrate) are held. This festival is a cheerful occasion. {#blank#}2{#/blank#}this day, the dead are said to return to their homes and they are welcomed by the living. As they are expected to be {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(hunger) after their long journey, food is laid out for them. Specially-made lanterns are hung outside each house {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(help) the dead to find their way. All night long, people dance and sing. But just because you {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (allow)to get a pet doesn't mean you should. Pets are not toys but friends {#blank#}4{#/blank#} need our love and company. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} don't get a pet if you're not ready to devote.
