Three good habits that help improve your memory

    Do you want to have a better memory? Many people would say yes. But how?

First, exercise {#blank#}1{#/blank#}. When you exercise your body, you also exercise your brain. Your brain gets more oxygen when you exercise, like {#blank#}2{#/blank#}.

Second, don't eat too much {#blank#}3{#/blank#}. Have a good diet. This will help your brain become healthier.

    Third, {#blank#}4{#/blank#}. If you're happy, your mind will become livelier and your memory will become sharper.

    If you have these habits, your memory will improve. You'll {#blank#}5{#/blank#}your studies and in your life. Thank you for listening.

Do you like movies? The{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(动画片) movie Bolt isan interesting movie. All the characters are very {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(聪明 的; 机 灵 的). Children always can't help {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(笑;发笑).when they watch it. The movie is about a dog star named Bolt who protects his owner Penny and {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(与⋯⋯战斗) bad people. Heal ways thinks {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(没有一个) of his friends is stronger than him. He often plays in TV programmes and many people love him. So he is a little {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(感到骄傲的) of himself.

January 1st is the New Year's Day, the first day of the year. It is a legal(法定的)holiday, and all banks, stores and schools are closed. Many people invite their friends to come and visit them in the afternoon or evening.

America's great national holiday, Independence Day, falls on the fourth of July. It celebrates the birth of the United States. It was on this day that the colonists(殖民者)announced their independence from England. They had to fight hard for the next seven years to win this independence.

The first Monday of September is Labor Day(劳工节). This holiday honors(向……表示敬意)the working people of the United States. There are sorts of celebrations and speeches on this day, too. People go to all kinds of places to enjoy the fine weather at the end of summer.

Thanks to the double reduction policy, I have more free time to do something I like on weekends. 

16-year-old Yang Jun'ao, a student from No. 1 Middle School in Nanxian County, Hunan province, invented a robot to help harvest lotus roots(采藕). 

"I got the idea when I saw my grandmother, in her 70s, working hard to harvest lotus roots under the hot sun, " Yang said. Sometimes, his grandmother would badly hurt her fingers while using harvesting tools. 

To make things easier for his grandmother, he decided to invent a robot that could do the job for her. 

With the help of his teacher, Hong Wei, Yang spent almost a year building a model of the robot. The robot can move by itself in the muddy(泥泞的) fields where lotus roots grow. It uses special technology to identify ripe roots by looking at the color of the lotus leaves. Then, its arm carefully cuts the roots without harming them. 

While creating the robot, Yang faced challenges like collecting parts for the model, putting them together and using a hot glue gun for connecting. "The first time I used a hot glue gun, my hands were shaking, " Yang laughed. At first, he planned to use rotating blades(旋转叶片) for harvesting lotus roots. But it was hard to find them, so he used more common blades instead. 

When Yang showed the robot to his grandmother, she was happy and gave helpful suggestions for improvement. She suggested using a voice player to help locate the robot in thick lotus leaves. "My grandmother's suggestion reminded me that any invention must be practical to be truly valuable. " said Yang. 

Although Yang still needs to make improvements, like finding cheaper materials, his teacher Hong spoke highly of Yang's creative thinking and resolution to help his hometown.
