Making friends is a skill. Like most skills, you can improve it if you are{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(耐心的). If you want to meet people and make friends, you must be willing to take action. You must first go where there are people.

    Joining a club or a group, talking to those who{#blank#}2{#/blank#}(分享)the same hobbies with you.

    Many people are{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(紧张的)when talking to new people. After all, meeting a {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(陌生人)means seeing the unknown. And it's common to feel a bit unpleasant about the unknown. Most of fears about dealing with new people come from doubts about{#blank#}5{#/blank#}(我们自己). We imagine other people are judging us. But don't forget that they must be feeling the same way. Try to{#blank#}6{#/blank#}(接受)yourself as you are, and try to make others feel at home. You'll all feel more comfortable.

    Try to be brave even if you don't feel that way when you {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(进入)a room full of people. Walk tall and straight, look directly at other people and smile.

    If you see someone you'd like to speak to, say something instead of keeping{#blank#}8{#/blank#}(沉默的). Don't wait{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(直到)the other person starts a conversation.

    Just meeting someone new does not mean that you'll make friends with that person. It takes time and effort for us to develop friendship.
