We may be very{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(please)with the rapid progress we have made in every field of study, but we have almost done nothing to improve our present examination systems which focus{#blank#}2{#/blank#} testing the {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(student)memory instead of their{#blank#}4{#/blank#}(able).As soon as a child begins school, he enters a world of examination{#blank#}5{#/blank#}will decide his future job. In fact, a good examination system should encourage students{#blank#}6{#/blank#}(think)for themselves. But the examination now does anything but that. It forces students to remember{#blank#}7{#/blank#} is taught to get high marks. Thus the students who come out first in the examination often may be the {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(good)in their studies. In addition, such{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(a)examination system often drives teachers to cram(塞满)their students with knowledge all the time and forces them to train students what to do with the {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(come)examination. There must be a better way to test a student's true ability as well as his knowledge.
