In a history class, our teacher, Mrs Bartlett asked us to make a poster in groups about the culture that we were studying. She told us to write the names of three friends we wanted in one group and she would think about o{#blank#}1{#/blank#} choices(选择).

    The next day, I was told to be in a "bad" group. The boy in the group was too weak in English, and the other two girls always w{#blank#}2{#/blank#} strange clothes. Oh, how I wanted to be with my f{#blank#}3{#/blank#}!

    With tears(眼泪) in my eyes, I walked up to Mrs Bartlett. She looked at me and seemed to know what I was there f{#blank#}4{#/blank#}. I told her I should be in the "good" group. She gently placed a hand on my shoulder(肩膀). "I know what you want, Karma," she said, "but your g{#blank#}5{#/blank#} needs you. I need you to help them. Only you can help them." I was surprised and moved. Her words c{#blank#}6{#/blank#} me up.

    "Will you help them?" she asked. "Yes," I r{#blank#}7{#/blank#}. Then I bravely walked over to my group. I sat down and we started. Each of us did a part according to our interests. Halfway through the week, I felt m{#blank#}8{#/blank#} enjoying our group. We did a good job together. Nobody e{#blank#}9{#/blank#} Mrs Bartlett believed in our group.

    Amazingly, our group got an A. But I think the A should be r{#blank#}10{#/blank#} by Mrs Bartlett. Mrs Bartlett brought out the potential (潜能) in four of her students.

    Bill is my cousin. He {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(be) from Canada. He likes China very much. He thinks it's a great {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(国家). And he knows there are many{#blank#}3{#/blank#}（interest） places in China. So last month he went to Beijing on vacation. First he went to the Palace Museum.     World famous scientist Stephen Hawking(霍金) died {#blank#}1{#/blank#} the age of seventy-six in his home in Cambridge, England on March 14. British Prime Minister Theresa May said Hawking was one of{#blank#}2{#/blank#}(great)  scientists of his time. She also said, "His achievements will not{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(forget)."

    Hawking was one of the most respected scientists in the modern history of{#blank#}4{#/blank#}/ 'fiziks/. Because of an uncommon disease(疾病) , he was kept to a wheelchair.{#blank#}5{#/blank#}, the disease did not stop Hawking from studying. He used every new day that life offered{#blank#}6{#/blank#}(continue) his research of the universe(宇宙). He said, "Where there is life, there is hope." He developed {#blank#}7{#/blank#}way of thinking about problems in his mind to reach a solution.

    This way of thinking has led to his important discoveries. He was{#blank#}8{#/blank#}(one) person to present the idea of some special energy in the universe. At the same time, Hawking tried to explain many of these difficult{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(science) ideas to more people. He{#blank#}10{#/blank#}(write) several popular science books, including the bestseller A Brief History of Time which made him a household(家喻户晓的) name.

    Stephen Hawking spent his whole life understanding the universe. He is, no doubt, a legendary(传奇的) scientist of all time.
