      I worked in a shop three years ago. A girl started working there a few months after me. I met her often but we never t{#blank#}1{#/blank#}. We just saw each o{#blank#}2{#/blank#} and smiled.

She would always smile in a really happy way until one day when we got to work in the same department again. She smiled as if she was the h{#blank#}3{#/blank#} girl in the world. I went up to her and asked, “What's w{#blank#}4{#/blank#} with you?” She answered, “Why?” I said, “I can feel you're very sad but you're always t{#blank#}5{#/blank#} to hide it.” Her mouth just dropped as if I had discovered her deepest s{#blank#}6{#/blank#}, so we started talking. She told me why she was feeling like that and why she was trying to hide it. Time w{#blank#}7{#/blank#} by and we became good friends. Later she said that I had changed her life in many w{#blank#}8{#/blank#}. Today this girl is one of my best friends. She has been there for me in every possible way a friend could be.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that you never know when you're helping y{#blank#}9{#/blank#}. I helped this girl never knowing that at the same time I was helping myself by finding a t{#blank#}10{#/blank#} friend.

    As middle school students, we should not only know how to protect  {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (我们). But we should know how to help people in {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (苦恼). Zhang Qiang is just the boy who can help himself and others.

    Zhang Qiang is a  {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (有残疾的) student. There is something {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (有毛病) with his left leg. But he never gives up. He often does {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (志愿者) work on weekends.For example, he tells stories to those {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (孤独的) old people in the old people's home. Although it's difficult for him to walk to school, he kept on doing so. At school, he {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (和睦相处) on well with his classmates and teachers.He always gets good {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (成绩).
