Billy always loved blueberries. They were his favorite fruit. Today he was going to make juice with his uncle. His uncle liked to make juice out of everything. He made carrot juice, apple juice, vegetable juice, and more juices. He had never made blueberry juice before though!

  First, Billy and his uncle went to a blueberry farm. They were each given a basket. They picked for an hour and got several pounds. It was hard work picking the little berries from the trees. Now Billy understood why they were expensive in the store.　

  Next, they had to wash the fruit. Some of them still had leaves. Those had to be pulled off. Then the bad berries had to be thrown away. They washed the berries and made them air-dry.

 After that, they pushed the blueberries through a strainer(过滤网). The strainer caught most of the seeds and skins, and only left a small glass of dark purple juice to them.

 When they tasted the juice, it wasn't very sweet. Billy's uncle didn't want to add white sugar to the juice. It was better to use a naturally sweet juice, like apple juice, pear juice, or grape juice. They used grape juice as a sweetener (甜味剂), because grapes had a similar color to the blueberries.

  Finally, they could drink it. It was a lot of work to make juice, but it sure was refreshing!

    Long ago, a farmer, hard-working, had a wonderful olive orchard(橄榄园). Unluckily, his three sons cared less about his olive orchard. They couldn't wait to be wealthy in a short time.

    When the farmer was old, and felt that his time had come to die, he called the three sons to him and said, "My sons, there is a pot of gold hidden in the olive orchard. Dig for it, if you wish it."

    The sons tried to get him to tell them in what part of the orchard the gold was hidden, but he would tell them nothing more.

    After the farmer was dead, the sons went to work to find the pot of gold. Since they did not know where it was, they agreed to begin in a line at one end of the orchard, and to dig until one of them should find the money.

    They dug until they had turned up the soil from one end of the orchard to the other, round the tree-roots and between them. But no pot of gold was to be found. The three sons were disappointed to have all their work for nothing.

    The next olive season, the olive trees in the orchard bore more fruit than they had ever given. When it was sold, it gave the sons a whole pot of gold.

    And when they saw how much money had come from the orchard, they suddenly understood what the wise father had meant when he said, "There is gold hidden in the orchard. Dig for it, if you wish it."

Once there was a rich man. But his son had no goals in life and wasn't happy. One day, he handed his son {#blank#}1{#/blank#} map and said, "I want you to go to the marked place and find a treasure."

The son set out and travelled really far, across {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(forest) and mountains. At last, he reached the place and began to dig. He dug {#blank#}3{#/blank#}a long time but nothing was found. Tired and sad, he decided {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(go)back home. On {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(he) way back, he noticed dancing birds and beautiful flowers. He met the farmers who were {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(work)happily in the fields. He found everything nice l {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(final), he got home and his father asked, "How was your journey there? Did you enjoy it?"

"Of course not! {#blank#}8{#/blank#} I really enjoyed the journey back home and almost {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(forget) the pain of not finding the treasure." "Nice things are always there" the father smiled. "My son, I want you to have a goal. {#blank#}10{#/blank#}you don't have a goal, you won't set out. But if the goal is the only thing in your mind, you'll miss something nice and won't be happy. So remember: It's important to have a goal in life and enjoy the journey well."

I have a cool trailer(旅行拖车). I live(居住) in it so{#blank#}2{#/blank#}. I got it from my father. I like to call it "Harlow". The color of the trailer is white. It's very big, and it is about seven meters(米) long.

Today, I am going to start work in the plant. The working time starts at a {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(一刻钟) past seven. 

I work in {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(工场) 1001 in the Leaf. My main job is to {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(收集) sunlight and CO₂ during the day. And workers from the Root will {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(送出) up water, and the water will {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(上升) up to the Leaf through the Stem. Then, workers in the Leaf will {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(混合) water, CO₂ and sunlight. Finally, they will produce some {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(生成物). One is sugar. It helps the plant grow. Another is {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(氧). It is useful for animals and humans because they need it to breathe. 

Every day, I work hard until it gets {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(黑暗的). After a night's rest, I begin to work hard again the next day. I am trying my best to make plants grow well and make the {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(自然的) world better and better.
