Tu Youyou is a Chinese pharmaceutical chemist(药学家) and educator. She is best known for discovering artemisinin(青蒿素) which {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(use) to treat malaria(疟疾) and has saved {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(million) of lives. She won the Nobel Prize in Medicine in October 2015. She is the {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(one) Chinese woman to win this prize.

    Tu was born in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, China {#blank#}4{#/blank#} December 30^th, 1930. From 1951 to 1955, she attended Peking University Medical School. Later, Tu was trained for two and a half {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(year) in traditional Chinese medicine. Now she is the Chief Scientist in the Academy(研究院) of Chinese Medicine in Beijing.

    Tu has some health problems as a result of working poor conditions for {#blank#}6{#/blank#}long time. But she is still doing research. When Tu finally received Nobel Prize for her achievements, she said the success {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(belong) to her team, which did research in those poor conditions. And she thinks artemisinin is a gift from China and from {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(tradition) Chinese medicine to the world, to the millions and millions of people,{#blank#}9{#/blank#} (especial) poor children, all over the world who have malaria.

    Tu Youyou is already 87 years old,{#blank#}10{#/blank#}she says she won't stop studying or working.

    One sheep, two sheep，632 sheep…still awake.

    People always believe that counting sheep {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(be) helpful to their sleep. But does it {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(real) work?

    Scientists at Oxford University tested it. Two sleep researchers looked at the people who had {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(difficult) in sleeping. They divided them {#blank#}4{#/blank#}different groups. Then they asked them to try all kinds of ways to help {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(they) fall asleep quickly.

    Surprisingly, it {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(take) those who were asked to count sheep more time to fall asleep than those who weren't. But when they were asked to imagine a relaxing picture-- a beach, for e {#blank#}7{#/blank#}, they fell asleep about twenty minutes{#blank#}8{#/blank#}(soon) than before, according to a report in The New York Times.

    “Sometimes, counting tasks are OK, b {#blank#}9{#/blank#}they are thought as stressful by many people,” Dr. Richards told ABC News.

    “As {#blank#}10{#/blank#}result, it may be a good way to try imagining colored fish slowly swimming in a river to help you sleep at night,” suggested Richards.
