Robots seem very new to most people. But they have a long history. The first one was made by a Greek inventor. You may have seen robots in some films. The robots in these films are stronger, faster and more clever than people in real life. Most robots are used in factories. They are used to do many dangerous, difficult or boring jobs. Some people can't look after themselves and move around. They need dogs to help them. These dogs are called guide dogs. Scientists are making robot dogs to help them. In the future, robot dogs might take the place of these guide dogs.

    Robots are also used in American hospitals. At one hospital, a robot takes meals from the kitchen to the sick people's rooms,   it never loses its way because it has a map of the hospital in its computer system.

    In the future, robots will work in space. But robots will never take the place of human beings, though they can help us in a lot of different ways.

    There was a world's advanced robot exhibition in Moscow. Over 20 skilled robot performers from all over the world took part in the exhibition.

    The exhibition was opened by British-born Titan, a world-famous dancing robot that had performed together with artists. Besides its quick moves, the robot is also known for its stand-up comedy and beautiful voice.

    Robot Hespin, a life-sized humanoid robot can make others happy. The robot not only sings and dances but also acts as a museum guide. It's very impressive. It can even hold conversations with humans.

    Then there is Cubic, an ordinary boxy robot that has been created to make our lives easier. It can read the latest news, switch off lights, and order pizza. Cubic can hold basic conversations and tell jokes.

    South Korea's friendly robots not only dance but also clean floors. Germany's famous metal rock band performs wonderfully.

    Most of the robots seem to have some kinds of dancing skills. The organizers say that their main purpose is to create a meeting place or a global platform to enable the people of Russia to experience some of the world's most advanced robots.

Everyone has worries. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}There is always something you can do to help yourself feel less worried. Sitting there worrying is no use and it won't solve your problems.

When you speak, your speech might be slower than you would like. This is because your mind is still translating from your first language, which can also sound unnatural. English, like every other language, has its own sentence patterns.

Most experts note that it's best to start small. So, a good first step is to think in individual words. Look around you. What do you see? In your head, try to name each object in your mind. 

Describe unknown words
