Today is Lily's birthday. It's June 2nd . She gets some presents and cards from her friends. Her grandparents give her a lovely doll. Her mother buys her a lot of delicious food. She climbs mountains with her father. She is very happy today.

    Frank is my e-friend. He lives in Australia. He is 11 years old. He is tall and strong . He has brown hair and blue eyes. He has a sister. She is a student. Frank's mother is a doctor. His father in a teacher. Frank has English, Chinese, Maths, Art, PE, Music and Science classes at school. He likes Chinese and Art. He is good at them. He likes drawing robots. Frank likes sport too. He likes playing football and basketball. He usually plays football with his friends after school. On Sundays, he often plays basketball with his father.

    I like winter. There is ice and snow. I can skate and ski(滑雪). I can make snowmen, too. I put on my hat, scarf and winter jacket. Because it is cold outside. I don't like summer, because it is too hot. I like spring. Because I like the rain. But I don't like to get wet. I always have my rain boots and umbrella on rainy days.

    In the world, football is the most popular sport. This is because many countries have wonderful teams for the World Cup(世界杯). The World Cup is held(举行)every four years. Some football teams will have games there. The World Cup makes more and more people interested in(对……感兴趣)football. Teenagers(青少年)like playing football and watching football games. Many of them love some football stars so much. They paste(粘贴) the pictures of their favourite players on the walls of their rooms. Are you a football fan(迷)? Who is your favourite football player?

    A train stops at a station(车站). A young man wants to come out，but it is raining. A boy is standing under a big umbrella. The young man says to the boy，"Can you go and buy us two hamburgers，one for you and one for me？Here are two dollars(美元). " "Great！" says the boy and he goes to buy hamburgers. After some time，the boy is back. He is eating a hamburger. "Where is my hamburger?" asks the young man. "Oh，there is only one(只有一个) hamburger left(剩下). So I'm eating mine. Here is your dollar，"the boy says.

Air quality(质量) and health

    Every day, the weather reports show us the air pollution index. It is a number that tells us how dirty the air is. The index was 98 on Monday and it went up to 108 yesterday. Last weekend, the Index even climbed between 115 and 118.

    "We are breathing in bad air every minute," said Mr Victor Wong, head of Green World. Breathing in dirty air is harmful to us. The dirty air can make people sick. It can also lead to lung(肺) and heart problems.

    "To improve the air quality, we have to stop making the air dirty," Victor Wong said. The smoke from cars, factories, cigarettes and products like hair spray(喷雾) all give out dirty things, The rain and the wind carry these around and people breathe in bad air everywhere.

    The best way to make the air cleaner is to stop using things that give out dirty smoke.
