Dragon Boat Festival is a funny Chinese holiday. Usually, it's in May or June. Both children and adults like this holiday.

    First, there are dragon boat races. Dragon boats are very long. They are painted in bright colours. In each boat, there are many people rowing. There's also somebody beating a drum.The winner of the races can get a lot of money.

    During Dragon Boat Festival, people also eat a special kind of rice dumplings. To make rice dumplings, people always put some meat, vegetables and other things in it. Then they can make different flavors of dumplings. Some are sweet, and some are salty.They all taste good. People give them to friends.

    On the evening of holiday, families have a big meal together. Dragon Boat Festival is a great time for everybody.

    There are many people in the street. Two boys are running. A car is coming from behind. It is very dangerous! A girl is riding a bike and talking on the phone. It is not safe. A young man is waiting for the green light. That is safe.

    Many children are playing in the park. Some are playing football and some are jumping rope. Some boys are swimming in the lake. That is dangerous.

Today is a fine day. It's Jenny's birthday. Many children are playing in Jenny's house. Kate is singing. Mary, Tom and Ann are dancing. Jenny's mother is making a birthday cake. Jenny is opening a beautiful box. Jim is watching TV. They are all very happy.

One fine Sunday morning, Robert would like to go fishing in a river nearby. He says goodbye to his mother and goes out. When he gets to the river, he finds some other boys there. They try to catch fish, but there are not a lot of fish in the river. Robert catches only one. Happily, he puts in into his jar with some water.

In the afternoon, he sees more fish in the river. Quickly he takes off his shoes and walks into the water. He put his nets into the river. But the fish swim away. When he gets back to the jar, he doesn't see the fish.

He gets home late with nothing in the jar. His mother asks him, "Do you have a good time?" Robert answers, "No, but the fish does."
