Jim is an English boy. He is in No. 5 Middle School. He gets up early every day. He isn't late for school. He can read and write English well. He often helps us with our English, and we often help him with his Chinese. After class he likes playing football, swimming, running, jumping and riding. He makes many friends here. On Sunday he often helps his mother clean the house, or do the shopping. He likes Chinese food very much.

    A girl is walking in the park. She sits down to eat some cakes. A bug(小虫) comes and says, " I like cakes. Can I have some?" The girl looks at the bug. Then she looks back at the cakes. She says, "Bugs do not talk. You are a bug. So you can not talk. "

    The bug says, "But I can talk. And I can sing." The bug is singing. "That singing is bad. I have to hold my hands over my ears(用手捂着耳朵).''

    "Why don't you like my singing? Give me some cakes. "

    The girl says, "Stop that singing. I'll give you some cakes. "

    The bug stops and the girl gives the bug some cakes. The bug gets sick (感到恶心). It says, "Now I can't sing."

    The girl says, "That's good." Then she eats the rest(剩余部分) of the cakes.

My Wonderful Holiday in China

    In Beijing, I visited the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square and the Summer Palace. I also met all Bill's friends and family.

Last week, Bill's family took me to Xi'an by train. Xi'an is in the northwest of China. We visited the Terracotta Army there. They are so amazing! We also ate some delicious noodles there.

    Then we went to Sichuan. It's in the southwest of China. First, we went to see the pandas in Wolong. They are very cute. Then we climbed Mount Emei. The mountain is very beautiful. We saw many funny monkeys on our way. I was very tired, but very happy. We ate some delicious hot pot there. Sichuan is famous for hot pot.

    Tibet is in the southwest of China, too. We went there by plane from Sichuan. It was sunny and hot in Tibet, but there was still snow on the mountains. We visited the famous Potala Palace and took many photos.

    Tomorrow is Sunday. It will be sunny and warm. We are going to have a picnic. I will bring some fruit and biscuits. Xiaomei will bring five bottles of water. Dongdong will bring his basketball. We will play basketball together. We will have a good time.

    China is a big country. There are lots of beautiful cities. Beijing is a very old city. It's the capital(首都) of China. There are many beautiful old buildings and parks in Beijing, such as the Palace Museum and the Summer Palace. Shanghai is an exciting city. It's in the east of China. It has got about twenty-five million people. Hong Kong is in the south of China. Hong Kong has more than seven million people. Many tourists(游客) like to go shopping and eat Chinese food in Hong Kong.

    Last Friday three tigers ran out of the zoo because the keeper was careless in his work. Two of the tigers ran to the hills around the zoo. And the workers of the zoo caught them soon. The third one went into the town. The tiger jumped into when it saw an open window on the first floor of a house. Inside it found an old woman. She was so excited. She thought the animal was a large dog and she put her hand on its head. The large animal didn't bite (咬) her and ran into the bedroom. It fell asleep on some old clothes. The workers of the zoo found the tiger asleep. So they put the tiger into a cage and carried it back to the zoo.
