    Even when you feel that there isn't a lot you can do {#blank#}9{#/blank#}unhappiness or problems, you can always do a little. A little at a time{#blank#}10{#/blank#}makes a big difference.

    On the day of the interview, I got up at 6:00 in the morning. I got to the interview place without {#blank#}1{#/blank#}breakfast. I was the 16^th interviewer(应聘者) and the {#blank#}2{#/blank#}was a short ordinary-looking girl. I nodded to her. I asked her where she graduated. “I didn't graduate from a famous college,” She told me {#blank#}3{#/blank#}a low voice.

    I didn't expect the interview would last so long. As I didn't have breakfast, my stomachache come to me. I had to sit by the table for a rest. Just at that time, the girl came and asked me what happened. I told her, “I didn't have {#blank#}4{#/blank#}this morning, so I had a stomachache.”

    After a while, a worker came in and {#blank#}5{#/blank#}me a bottle of milk and a piece of bread. It was certain that they were bought by the girl. I felt warm all over my heart because I hadn't imagined she would be so nice to help me–her rival(竞争对手).

    {#blank#}6{#/blank#}, I got the job. The first day I went to work, I was {#blank#}7{#/blank#}to see the girl there. She also got the job. Later I asked her why she got the job. She said with a smile. “That day when I bought you the food and came back, an interviewer saw me and asked {#blank#}8{#/blank#}I took the food in hands. I told him the {#blank#}9{#/blank#}. Then I got the job.” At that moment, I came to know that when the girl helped me and the interviewer, she also helped {#blank#}10{#/blank#}.

    Every morning my father buys a newspaper on his way to work. Every evening my mother reads magazines at home. And every night, I look at the posters with photos of David Beckham and Yao Ming on my bedroom wall before I go to sleep. Can we{#blank#}1{#/blank#}life without paper or print?

    Paper was first created about 2,000 years ago, and has been made from silk, cotton, bamboo, and since the 19th century, from wood. People learned to write words on paper to make a book. But in those days, books could{#blank#}2{#/blank#}be produced one at a time by hand and they were expensive and rare. Because there weren't many books, few people learned to read.

    Then printing was invented in China. When printing was developed greatly at the beginning of the 11th century, books could be produced more quickly and cheaply. Then more people learned to read. After that, knowledge and{#blank#}3{#/blank#}spread quickly.

    Today information can be received online, downloaded from the Internet rather than found in books, and information can be kept on CD-ROMs or machines,{#blank#}4{#/blank#}MP3 players.

    Computers are already used in classrooms, and newspapers and magazines can already be read online. So will books be replaced by computers one day? I am not sure.
