I'm Betty. I come from the US. I'm in Grade Five. I like summer. Because my birthday is in summer. It's on July 11th.I usually celebrate(庆祝)my birthday with my family. I eat fish, noodles，vegetables，fruit and so on(等等).Sometimes I have a party with my friends. I can have a good time.

    My mother and I are in the shop(商店). We'll buy(买)some fruit. There are many apples, bananas, oranges, pears and watermelons. How much are they? Four yuan for a kilo(千克) of apples. Two yuan for a kilo of bananas. Three yuan for a kilo of oranges. Five yuan for a kilo of pears. One yuan for a kilo of watermelons. We'll take some.

    Jack is a shop assistant. He works in a clothes shop near the underground station. He sells coats, trousers and T-shirts to men. He gets up at 7:45. He goes the shop by bus. On the way to the shop, he meets a friend, Linda. She is a teacher. She goes to work by train. Jack starts work at 9:00 a. m. At 11:00 a. m. , he stops work for a break (休息). During the break he drink some coffee and has some cakes. He has lunch at half past twelve. At 5:00 p. m. , he stops work and goes back home.

    As we know, in China, Children's Day is on 1st June. Children don't go to school on that day. Parents give their children presents. But not all the Children's Days are on 1st June.

    In the UK, Children's Day is on 14th July. In Japan, children have many Children's Days. Girls' Day is on 3rd March. Boys' Day is on 5th May. Another festival for boys of three or five years old and girls of three or seven years old is on 15th November.
