Where are they?

    This is Tommy's bedroom(卧室). You can see a small bed 1the room. There's a toy(玩具)on the bed. You can see a light（灯）on the drawer. 2the photo? It's on the drawer，too. You can see 3on the chair. Where are the plants? They are4. The alarm clock, the pen and a cup 5on the table. 6you see a math book? Yes, it's on the floor. 

    My parents were in a huge argument, and I was really upset about it. I didn't know who I should talk with about how I was feeling. So I asked Mom to allow me to stay the night at my best friend's house. Though I knew I wouldn't tell her about my parents' situation, I was looking forward to 1. I was in the middle of packing up my things when suddenly the power went out in the neighborhood. Mom came to tell me that I should stay with my grandpa until the power came back on. I was really 2 because I felt that we did not have much to talk about. But I knew he would be frightened alone in the dark. I went to his room and told him that I'd stay with him until the power was restored. He was quite happy and said, “3.”

    “For what?” I asked.

    “To hold a private meeting, just you and I,” he said, “To hold a private meeting about what we're going to do with your mom and dad, and what we're going to do with ourselves 4we're in the situation we are in.”

    “But we can't do anything about it, Grandpa,” I said, surprised that here was someone with whom I could share my feelings and someone who was in the same “boat” as I was.

    And that's how the most unbelievable 5 in this family started. Sitting there in the dark, we talked about our feelings and fears of life. That night, because the power went out, I found a new friend, with whom I could6talk about all my fears and pains, whatever they may be.

    Suddenly, the lights all came back on. “Well,” he said, “I guess that means you'll want to go now. I really like our talk. I hope the power will go out every few nights!”

    One morning Mr. Green is driving 1the country and2a small bookshop. When he sees an old man3the side of the road, he stops his car and says to the old man, "I want 4to the Sun Bookshop. Do you know it?" "Yes, "the old man answers, "I 5 you the way. "He6Mr. Green's car, and they drive about twelve miles.7they come to a small house, the old man says, "Stop here. "Mr. Green stops and 8the house. "But this isn't a bookshop, "he says to the old man. "Right, "the old man answers, "This is my house. And I'll show you the way 9the bookshop. Turn around and go back nine miles10you'll see the bookshop. "

    This is a touching moment when a giraffe gave a sad goodbye to a dying worker. The 1 spent his whole life cleaning the giraffes' home at a Dutch 2. The 54-year-old worker had a cancer (癌症). He asked to put his hospital 3 in the giraffes' home at the zoo. In a touching moment, one of the giraffes went to the man and 4 him a kiss goodbye.

    Mario has 5  in the zoo for over thirty years. He asked for a moment to say goodbye to his workmates and the animals at the zoo. He had no 6 and he lived alone. A charity group helped to send Mario back to the zoo. They usually help 7 persons finish their dying wishes.

    "It was very nice that we could do 8  to help his last wish come true," Mr Veldboer said. "It was a very special moment. The giraffe came with 9 eyes. He looked at Mario for some time, and kissed him 10. You saw him smiling."
