Today is Children's Day. Rose doesn't go to school. She is at home. After she has breakfast, she helps her mother clean the house. Then she invites her grandfather and grandmother to her house. She wants to have a surprise party. She makes five little cakes. They are nice. Every cake has a name. At 5: 00, her grandfather and grandmother get to her house. They bring a new schoolbag and some pens for Rose. And Rose gives them two beautiful cakes. All of them are very happy.

    This is a park. It's ABC Park. It's in Shanghai. It's big. It's beautiful，too. There are many trees in the park. Some are tall and some are short. They are green. You can see some birds in the trees. They can sing and dance. They are happy. Near the trees，you can see nice flowers. They are red，yellow，blue and orange. Some bees are flying on the flowers. They can sing very well. Look，there are seven boys and six girls on the grass.

    Mr Li is with them. They are playing football. They are all very happy.

    I have a pretty pet. Her name is Polly Bird. When Polly was young, she lived in a birdhouse. Now she lives in a birdcage. When Polly was young, she couldn't sing. Now she sings all day long. When Polly was young, she couldn't eat birdseed. Now she can eat birdseed.

    When Polly was young, she couldn't fly. Now she flies out of the birdcage every morning. She flies back into the birdcage every evening. When Polly was young, she didn't like our pet rabbit Lulu. Now she plays with Lulu every day. When I am sad, Polly sings to me. She makes me happy. I love Polly very much.

A Picnic

    Today is Sunday. It's a sunny day. Sarah and Amy are out for a picnic. They go to a park. It's a big park. They can see many people there. There are many green trees in the park. Near the gate, there is a lake. Some ducks are swimming in the lake and you can see lots of fishes there.

    Sarah and Amy bring many things to eat, such as bread, cake, sausages(香肠), hot dogs and hamburgers. They have a picnic under a tree. After picnic they read some books and talk with each other. They have a good time.

    Every Saturday (星期六) morning, Jim and David go to the park with their mother. It's today. There are many people in the park. Boys and girls are singing and dancing there.

    Jim and David want to have a look at the animals in the zoo. They like monkeys very much. When they come into the zoo, they see some monkeys jumping, others (其他的) are swinging (荡秋千). They have a good time (玩得很开心) every Saturday.
