    Our school had an English Fun Day today. My classmates and l went to the School Hall to play English games. Some Grade 6 students were helpers and they showed us how to play the games.

    Peter and l were in a spelling(拼写) game. He made many mistakes but I did very well. I got some sweets and we shared(分享) them.

We did not like the matching(配对) game. We had to match some words to pictures. It was not difficult but boring.

    We liked the reading game. I was slow when I read out the sentences. But Peter was very quick. He won the first prize. Miss Wong gave him a photo album. He can put his photos in. We had a good time.

    Mr Jones was very angry with his wife．And Mrs Jones was very angry with her husband．For a few days，they didn't speak to each other．One evening，Mr Jones was very tired when he came back from work，so he went to bed soon after he had dinner．Mrs Jones washed the dishes and did some sewing．When she went to bed much later than her husband，she found a piece of paper on the small table near her bed．On it was the words：“Mother，wake me rup at 7 a．m．tomorrow．  一Father．”The next morning，  Mr Jones found a piece of paper on the table，too．On it was the words：“Father，wake up．It is 7 a．m．一Mother．”

    Mr White lives in a tall building. He lives on the sixteenth floor. Every day，he takes a lift(电梯)up and down.

    One Saturday afternoon，he went shopping with his little son and bought many things. They drove back and carried all the things up to the lift. Suddenly they saw a piece of paper on the wall. It said，“Dear sirs，there's something wrong with the lift. Please use the stairs now. ” The son took a bag and ran upstairs quickly. But Mr White walked and walked.

    At last they stood in front of their door feeling very tired. Mr White began to look for the keys，but he could not find them. Suddenly he shouted in a loud voice，“Oh，no！I've left my keys in the car. ”

    It is Sunday morning. Helen and David are going to the People Cinema by bike. They are coming up to a crossing.

Helen: Stop, David!

David: Why? It's late. We should hurry up.

Helen: Look at the lights. It's red now, and it means “Danger”. The cars and the buses must wait, and we must stop too.

David: What does the yellow light mean?

Helen: It means “Wait”. We should wait till(直到) the light is green.

David: Yes, I see. The light is green now. We can go now.

Helen: OK! Let's go.

    The Green family are talking about the travel to China. They want to visit some famous places in China. Jim wants to go to Wuhan and see the East Lake. And the food there is delicious. Linda wants to visit Hangzhou. She wants to see the West Lake. She thinks it is very beautiful. Their mother likes going shopping, so she wants to go to Hang Kong. Mr. Green often goes fishing in the sea, so he wants to visit Qingdao. But Tom doesn't like travel. He wants to stay at home.

    Every morning Mike goes to work by train. As he has a long trip, he always buys a newspaper. It helps to make the time pass more quickly.

    One Tuesday morning, he turned to (翻到) the sports page (体育版), He wanted to read the report about an important football match. The report was so interesting that he forgot to get off at his station, and had to wait a long time for a train to go back. Of course, he got to the office late. His boss was very angry.
