Anyone who has had a long-term illness knows that recovering at home can be boring. This can be especially true for children. They may feel cut off from their friends and classmates. Now, these children may have a high-tech friend to help feel less lonely. That friend is a robot.

    The robot is called Avatarl (AV1). It takes their place at school. Through the robot, the children can hear their teachers and friends. They can also take part in classes from wherever they are recovering. And the children's school friends must help. They carry the robot between classes and place the robot in the classroom.

    A Norwegian(挪威的) company called “No Isolation” created the robot. There are another two co-founders, Karen Dolva and Marious Aabel. Dolva explains how the robot works. She says from home the child uses an iPad or a phone to start it, control the robot's movements with touch and talk through it. The child can take part in classroom activities. The robot is equipped with speakers, microphones and cameras that make communication easy. So it's the eyes, the ears and the voice of the child at school. Inside AV1 there is a small computer connected to a 4G network.

    AV1 is designed to be tough. It won't allow water to pass through it and can take a fall from a desk without damage. AV1 is large and looks like a human for a reason. Dolva says it can't be just a tiny camera because the other kids can't pick it up and take it with them. This is important because the robot is supposed to be a friend to the children. Hopefully AV1 will help some children feel less lonely while they were absent from class.

Food is life. It gives us what we need to stay alive and be healthy. Usually, we eat because we are hungry or need energy.

Brian William, an{#blank#}1{#/blank#} scientist, says we also eat certain foods because they make us feel good, and they {#blank#}2{#/blank#} us of the good old memories. William calls this kind of food comfort(安慰) food. For some people, ice cream is a comfort food. For other people, a bowl of noodles{#blank#}3{#/blank#} them feel good.

How does a food become comfort food? William believes that we connect food {#blank#}4{#/blank#} important times, feelings, and people in our lives. "{#blank#}5{#/blank#} I was a child, my mother made a delicious soup, and I loved it. Now I often have the {#blank#}6{#/blank#} when I am tired or worried, and it helps me feel better, "says one of William's friends.

 Do men and women choose different comfort foods? The {#blank#}7{#/blank#} is yes. In William's study, the favourite comfort food for both men {#blank#}8{#/blank#} women is ice cream. What's more, men usually prefer hot, delicious foods like soup or noodles. While women like{#blank#}9{#/blank#} things such as chocolate, candies and milk tea. And there is a popular saying on the Internet"If one cup of milk tea can't solve the problem, then {#blank#}10{#/blank#} cup." That means after the second cup of milk tea, you will surely become good and work out the problem.

The Golden Snub-nosed Monkey(金丝猴) is a special kind of monkey that mainly lives high up in the mountains in China, Vietnam and Burma. They have a flat nose that points up, which is really two nostrils(鼻孔). This helps them breathe well in the thin air up high in the mountains. Their fur is golden and very thick, which not only keeps them warm in the cold mountain weather but also helps them go well with their forest homes.

These monkeys like to live together in groups with a big, strong male monkey as their leader. The leader protects the group and guides them to food. They communicate with each other through sounds and body movements.

Golden Snub-nosed Monkeys spend most of their time in the trees. They love to climb trees and jump from branch to branch. They are very good at moving around in the trees. They eat mostly plants like leaves and fruits, but they also eat insects and small animals when available. Sadly, these animals are not common to see because of human activities. Many trees are cut down every year. We need to help protect these monkeys and their homes.

These monkeys are very beautiful and important for the mountains. They are a symbol of nature's beauty and a reminder of our duty to protect the environment. By learning about them and helping to keep their homes safe, we can make sure that people in the future can also see these wonderful animals that live in the mountains.

We all know that regular(有规律的) physical exercise is good for a girl's body, mind and spirit. The Women's Sports Foundation found that except having fun and staying healthy, there are many more benefits(益处) to girls from exercise. 

Girls who play sports do better in school. You might think that sports will take up all your study time. But research shows that girls who exercise do better in school than those who don't. Exercise improves learning, memory and concentration(专注) which can give active girls an advantage in the classroom. 

Girls who play sports learn teamwork. Being a team player to work with coaches, trainers and teammates to win games is great practice for success later in life. It can make working with others and solving problems easier, whether on the field or in the workplace. 

Sports have hidden health benefits. Some benefits of sports are clear — like improving physical fitness and keeping a healthy weight. And girls who play sports are also less likely to smoke and have a reduced chance of getting breast cancer(乳腺癌) later in life. Sure, you can get these benefits from any type of exercise. 

Playing sports build up self-confidence. Girls who play sports feel better, both physically and mentally. It helps you build up confidence as you see your skills improve. 

Exercise can reduce pressure. Pressure is a big part of life. Playing sports can help you deal with it since exercise is a natural mood-lifter and a great way to reduce stress and light depression(抑郁).
