In America, when people say ‘man's best friend', they don't mean another person. Instead, they are talking about a lovely animal—a dog! These words show the friendship between people and animals. Dogs and other pets can give joy to people's lives. Some people even leave all their money to their pets when they die!
Animals can help people, too. You can teach dogs to be the ‘eyes' for blind (失明的) people or ‘ears' for deaf (聋的) people. Scientists have found that pets help people live longer! They make people happier, too. Because of that, they bring animals into hospitals for ‘visits'.
Americans have ‘Be Kind to Animals Week' in the first week of May. There are many pet shows during the week. Even if you don't live in America, you can also show your love to animals. How? First think about how animals make your life richer (更丰富). If you have a pet, take more time this week to play with it. Remember to give it nice food. If you don't have a pet, be kind to animals around you. For example, if you see a street dog, don't kick it. Just leave it alone, or make friends with it. If others around you do bad things to animals, try to stop them. As people, we must protect (保护) animals because they can't speak for themselves.

A、pets also like to get money B、money can make pets happy C、it's the best way to spend money D、some pets are as important to their owners as their children
(2)、According to the passage, scientists bring the dogs to hospital because _________.

A、Dogs can help people in many ways. B、Dogs can help people live happier. C、Dogs can help people make everything. D、Dogs can make people's lives richer.
(4)、What is the main idea of the passage?

In a recent small group activity in Mrs. Johnson's 9th-grade class, students came together to discuss how a growth mindset (思维模式) can greatly influence our life. Here are the opinions on developing a growth mindset shared by the students.

Steps

Opinions from Group Discussions

Believe in Yourself

Start by believing yourself that you have the power to change your habits. Your habits are shaped by your beliefs and strengths. Use positive statements to welcome changes into your life and prepare your mind for a new way of thinking.

Accept and Overcome Weaknesses

Whatever your weakness is, accept and explore different approaches (方法) to overcome it. Be kind to yourself and focus on finding solutions instead of being angry with yourself. If you have to get out of bed early in the morning, try setting the alarm earlier or preparing things in advance to make mornings easier.

Welcome Challenges for Growth

Stepping out of your comfort zone (区)and taking on new challenges helps you improve your skills and broaden your knowledge and experiences. Whether it's learning a new sports skill or making progress in your studies, look for challenges that push you to grow. Appreciate the unexpected challenges along the way.

Work with Your Learning Styles

Find out how you learn best, as it will help you learn more effectively. Some learners need to see things to understand them, while others do better with listening or talking. Take your time to learn and look for excellence by practicing and repeating. Accept applying what you learn, even if you make mistakes, as they help you become more skilled.

Developing a growth mindset not only reduces worry but also brings happiness. By celebrating your achievements and enjoying the journey of growth and learning, you can create a satisfying and successful life.

The phrase"city bu city" has become popular online, thanks to a foreign video blogger named Baobaoxiong. It's a way to describe if a place feels modern. This year, many foreigners {#blank#}1{#/blank#} ( visit) China and sharing their experiences through travel videos. A big reason for this is China's visa-free transit policy(过境免签政策), which allows travelers from 54 countries {#blank#}2{#/blank#} ( stay) for up to six days without a visa, as long as they have a passport and a ticket to leave.

Depending {#blank#}3{#/blank#} this policy started in 2013 {#blank#}4{#/blank#} number of foreign visitors keeps increasing. The policy is helping more people see the real China. In the {#blank#}5{#/blank#} ( one) quarter of this year,

there was a 266% increase in foreigners arriving in China. It also changed their views towards our country. Irish You-tuber Luke, for example, felt nothing but {#blank#}6{#/blank#} ( surprise) by Chengdu's modernity and beauty, which was {#blank#}7{#/blank#} ( total) opposite of his impressions from Western TV programs.

The foreigners used to just visit famous attractions like the Forbidden City and the Great Wall years ago, {#blank#}8{#/blank#} now, they changed their interests. They look forward to {#blank#}9{#/blank#} ( enjoy) everyday life in China more, such as shopping at local markets, riding shared bikes, and joining in square dances in parks. These {#blank#}10{#/blank#} ( activity) provide them with a true sense of what China is like and connect them with the local culture.
