Every year we get a new start. On New Year's Day we always write down our {#blank#}1{#/blank#}and put them up on the wall of our bedrooms.
This year my dream is to learn an instrument. And I still want to take more exercise to keep{#blank#}2{#/blank#} , too. You know, last year I spent much time {#blank#}3{#/blank#} swimming. So this year I want to do something exciting and unusual. I'm {#blank#}4{#/blank#} to learn the violin. So I'm thinking about taking violin lessons. And I'm going to practice much {#blank#}5{#/blank#} than usual. It says that practice makes perfect! What is your plan?

    My father {#blank#}1{#/blank#}( work) in an office. There {#blank#}2{#/blank#} two large windows in it. One day, a woman in a {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(pass) car looks up and sees my father. My father waves his hands, {#blank#}4{#/blank#} the woman waves back. This gives my father an idea.

  Later, he changes his way of {#blank#}5{#/blank#} ( greet) people. He writes signs, like “Hello” {#blank#}6{#/blank#} “Be happy”. Every afternoon when people go home from work, my father will greet them with the signs. Then they will give my father big smiles.

The day when I come into the world, my father puts a sign {#blank#}7{#/blank#} the window, “I'm a new father!” To his {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (surprise), some of people hold a sign saying, “Congratulations!”

  My father learns the {#blank#}9{#/blank#} ( true) in the saying, “You smile, and the whole world smiles with you.” And he becomes {#blank#}10{#/blank#} first one who greets strangers with signs every day.

But {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (现在) he can write a Lost when he wants to get his things back.

    In American high，school most students take English, science, math and history.

    In English{#blank#}1{#/blank#}, the students study grammar and read famous literature(文学名著).{#blank#}2{#/blank#}science class, they study biology, chemistry or physics. History is{#blank#}3{#/blank#}interesting to some students than other subjects{#blank#}4{#/blank#} they learn about important events and places in the United States. Students take other courses{#blank#}5{#/blank#}. These are electives(选修课){#blank#}6{#/blank#} study music because they feel it is more enjoyable. Some{#blank#}7{#/blank#} computer science because they think {#blank#}8{#/blank#}is more practical.

    In each class, teachers give students exams. Some exams are more difficult than{#blank#}9{#/blank#}, but a good student can always do{#blank#}10{#/blank#}.

    A camp called Camp Cooper with over 20 years experience in the camp field, is now a very famous and popular camp in the UK. More and more kids are interested in taking part in this camp during their summer or winter holidays. Here is some information about this camp.

    Camp Cooper is named after a dog called Cooper because the dog also loves camp - there's nothing he loves more than hanging out with campers.

    Camp Cooper makes the parents believe that sending their children to Camp Cooper is sending them to a place where the children will be taken good care of and the kids won't feel lonely at all there.

    Activities are carefully split(分成) into three kinds. The reason they do this is to give campers the chance to focus their time on activities they are interested in. They plan to create the perfect balance for campers to try new activities and develop their skills.

    Creating and developing friendships are the most important part of Camp Cooper. It's believed that creating connections with different people is very important for development, confidence and well-being. People feel the happiest when they are connected to others and the workers here work hard to make sure that everyone is included and feels part of the Camp community.

    Camp Cooper gives students confidence to speak and learn English. The workers also work with each of the students to help the campers become a more confident English speaker.

    It's said that the kids who take part in this camp will go home more confidently and be more willing to try new things.

    You might have heard the story of The Tortoise and the Hare (《龟兔赛跑》). The hare lost because he was sleeping {#blank#}1{#/blank#}of keeping running during the race. However, there is another more interesting story.

    Once {#blank#}2{#/blank#}a time, a rabbit (家兔) and a turtle (海龟) were arguing about who was faster. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}could give an answer, so they decided to have a race.

    Before the race, the story The Tortoise and the Hare{#blank#}4{#/blank#} the rabbit of his friend, the hare." He should be able to teach me{#blank#}5{#/blank#}useful lesson." So he called the hare." How can I{#blank#}6{#/blank#} the race?" he asked. The hare answered, "Don't be{#blank#}7{#/blank#}like me!"

    The next day, the two animals met. When the fox called "Go!" in  a loud {#blank#}8{#/blank#}, the rabbit started running as fast as possible. Soon, he couldn't see the turtle. He didn't slow down. He ran the whole race {#blank#}9{#/blank#}he reached the finishing line.

    In the end, however, he was so{#blank#}10{#/blank#}that he found the turtle was already at the finishing line!" How did you get here so fast?" asked the rabbit. The turtle smiled and said, "Well, I also called the tortoise. He told me to take a taxi!"
