    I was in the college when my father passed away. One evening, a man visited me and after a while, he asked of my studies. I told him I could not go to college so I did not want to study anymore. He reminded how my father had sent me to the best college in our city. Did I want to fulfill his father's dream or did I want to be calling a failure? I wept and said I do want to do my best and I just couldn't concentrate. He gave me all the encouragements I needed to be able to carry on. His calming, gently voice did wonders and I decided to study harder and complete my graduation early.

    I have always remembered visiting my aunt and uncle who live in a countryside. One time, we drive down from the city to their house. We were stopped to rest once or twice on the way because the journey was such long. By the time we arrived it was dark and it was difficult see much. I remember getting out of the car and step into a pool of water. I immediately regretted wearing my best shoe because they became dirty. My mother tried to clean them, so it was hopeless. I cried for hours afterwards. But now look back, I consider it a both funny and happily memory in my childhood.

    Last Friday, our class pay a visit to Beijing Planning Exhibition Hall, where started with a warm welcome from a guide at the entrance. Once inside, we attracted to an exhibition that gave a vividly account of Beijing's history. To my excitements, on a huge map I could even find what my local area was liked years ago. In a movie called Beautiful Beijing, we learned how Beijing became a modern city. Afterwards, we went to a urban planning model which impressed them most. After leaving, I left for a message on the board, expressing my best wishes to my hometown.

    Two months ago my mother and I were walking home from shopping while we noticed a small dog lying sill on the middle of the road. How danger it was! We got closely to him and found that he was badly injured. Saw the poor dog, we decided to help him. Immediately we called a taxi and send him to an animal hospital, where he was examined and received treatment. After staying in hospital for few days, he became good enough to walk. Then we took him home and looked after him carefully until he was fully recovered. Now he is already an important member of our family and brings ourselves a lot of happiness.
