   Everybody likes oranges. They are sweet and juicy. They are in sections, so it is{#blank#}1{#/blank#}  to eat them. Some oranges do not have any seeds(种子). Some have a {#blank#}2{#/blank#}  skin, and some have a thin skin.
   The orange tree is beautiful. It has a lot of shiny green {#blank#}3{#/blank#} . The small white flowers smell very sweet. An orange tree {#blank#}4{#/blank#} flowers and fruit at the same time.
   There were orange trees twenty million years ago. The oranges were very small, not like the {#blank#}5{#/blank#}  today. The orange tree probably came from China. Many different kinds of wild oranges{#blank#}6{#/blank#}  in China today. The Chinese started to raise(栽培) orange trees about 4,400 years ago.
   Farmers in other parts of Asia and the Middle East{#blank#}7{#/blank#}  to raise oranges from the Chinese. {#blank#}8{#/blank#} they taught Europeans. The Spanish planted orange trees in the new world (North and South America). They took them to Florida {#blank#}9{#/blank#} . Oranges are a very important crop in Florida today.
   In English, orange {#blank#}10{#/blank#}  both a fruit and a color. We use the name of the fruit for the color.

    It is said that the story happened in ancient Britain. There was a queen who loved her only son very much. As time went by, the handsome prince had grown up. In order to {#blank#}1{#/blank#}his 18th birthday, the mum held a ball in the palace. She thought it was also a good {#blank#}2{#/blank#}to find a girl to be princess for her country. All the girls below 18 were {#blank#}3{#/blank#}. Many girls came to the ball, dreaming of becoming the British prince's wife, including a princess from France, some beautiful ladies, the most famous actresses and a general's daughter. At the ball, the prince {#blank#}4{#/blank#}in love with the French princess for the{#blank#}5{#/blank#}sight. They got married soon and lived a happy life forever. From then on, the relationship between the two countries stayed well for a century.

    One afternoon many years ago, I got out and had a walk in the park near my home. Later, I sat down on a bench and {#blank#}1{#/blank#}.

    I watched a little boy, about 2 years old, running freely on the grass as his mother watched from a {#blank#}2{#/blank#} distance(距离). The boy would fall to the grass, get up and {#blank#}3{#/blank#} looking back at his mother, run as fast as he could as if nothing happened.

    When kids fall down, they don't think of the fall as a failure. But they think of it as a learning {#blank#}4{#/blank#}, they try and try until they succeed. Each time he got up, he looked so confident and natural. His only aim was to run as freely as he could.

    I learned a lot from the boy on that afternoon. I understand what kind of attitude I should have towards my future.

    A good trick doesn't leave lasting damage and always makes people laugh. It can even amaze them with its creativity. Some schools and universities have a long{#blank#}1{#/blank#}of students playing good tricks. These tricks sometimes include school buildings and cars.

    The California Institute of Technology, a university in the US, has a special day on which students are{#blank#}2{#/blank#}to play big tricks. One time, a group of students took part a car, moved the parts into a student's room and then put the car back together next to the bed.

    It was a quiet evening at an American high school. Going home, the headmaster got into his car and started engine. It's quite{#blank#}3{#/blank#}that the wheels turned, but the car didn't move! It{#blank#}4{#/blank#}that some students had found a way to lift the car up so that its tires were just above the ground.
