One day when Jack was walking in the park, he saw a woman, who lived a few miles away, sitting on a bench(长凳) with a dog beside her. The dog was looking up at the woman.

    Jack walked up to the woman and said, "Hello, Sue, how are you? May I sit and talk with you for a while?" "Of course, please sit down," Sue said. Jack sat down next to Sue on the bench, and they talked quietly together. The dog continued to look up at Sue, as if waiting to be fed.

    "That's a nice dog, isn't he?" Jack said, pointing(指着) at the animal.

    "Yes, he is. He's handsome. He's a bit of a mixture(杂交品种), but that's not a bad thing. He's strong and healthy."

    "And hungry," Jack said. "He hasn't taken his eyes off you. He thinks you've got some food for him."

    "That's true," Sue said. "But I haven't."

    They both laughed and then Jack said, "Does your dog bite?"

    "No," Sue said, "He's never bitten anyone. He's always gentle and friendly."

    Hearing this, Jack decided to hold out his hand and touched the animal's head. Suddenly it jumped up and bit him.

    "Hey!" Jack shouted. "You said your dog didn't bite."

    Sue answered in surprise, "Yeah, I did. But this is not my dog. Mine's at home."

    What's that in the sky? Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's Hello Kitty.

That's how Lauren Rojas, 12, from the US thought of her science project. She sent her Hello Kitty doll into the sky early this month. She wanted to find out how altitude(高度) changed air pressure(气压) and temperature, according to New York Daily News.

    Rojas put the doll and a small computer into a rocket model, and then sent it up with a weather balloon(气球). The computer recorded the height, air pressure and temperature. Rojas also put in a video camera to record the trip.

    "It took about two or three weeks to put it all together," said Rojas. "I think people will think it (the video) is really cool."

    The balloon got to 28.5km above the Earth. At that height, the doll could see the blue curves(曲线) of our planet. The air was very thin up there, and soon the balloon broke up (爆炸). The doll fell from the sky and at last it ended up in a tree. It was 76km from the place where it had started its journey.

Once there was a poor boy who lived with his mother in India.

One day, Mother asked the boy, "Would you like 1 from the market?" "More than anything else, I want a drum!" the boy said. Mother sold some grain at the 2 , but there was still not enough money for a drum. 3 , Mother gave the boy a stick she had found. The boy decided not to be 4 . "Thank you," he began to play with his new stick.

When he got home, the boy told his mother the whole story. "When you are 14 , your good deeds come back to you," Mother said. It was a 15 the boy never forgot.

Wang Jibing is a 55-year-old deliveryman (外卖员). Since 2009, Wang has written over 4, 000 {#blank#}1{#/blank#}. 

In the 1980s, when Wang was not 20 yet, he followed a building team to work in Shenyang, Liaoning Province. While taking a walk one day, he found a bookstore where he could read for {#blank#}2{#/blank#}. He picked up a book and began reading, and it became {#blank#}3{#/blank#} he did every night. "Sometimes, when I was halfway through a story, the book was gone the next day, " he said. So, he {#blank#}4{#/blank#} up with the idea to keep writing stories by imagining. He {#blank#}5{#/blank#} them in the form of a diary. After learning how to use a computer in the 2000s, Wang tried to write poems {#blank#}6{#/blank#}. 

Wang said that delivering food allowed him to {#blank#}7{#/blank#} with more people and experience more things. "I enjoy my job {#blank#}8{#/blank#} a deliveryman. It greatly inspires me. " Wang's poem People in a Hurry, which made {#blank#}9{#/blank#} well-known online, is based on an unpleasant food delivery experience in 2019. Because the customer left the wrong {#blank#}10{#/blank#}, he had to rush several times to get the food delivered. It also made other orders late. 

On his way back from work, he wrote, "People in a hurry have no seasons, only from last station to the next. " He said writing this poem made him feel more comfortable.
