Several days ago, Brenda had a car accident that led to one of her legs being cut off. Since then she didn't talk to anyone.

    “I wish I could bring her friends to visit her,” said Brenda's mother. “But it's a long bus trip.” The nurse smiled, “Don't worry. We have a plan.”

    Later that day, the nurse had taken Brenda to another room. “Here's your new roommate, Annie Wiggle-Do,” the nurse introduced a dark-hair teenager on the other bed.

    As soon as the nurse left, she jumped out of her bed with her only foot and sat at the other end of Brenda's bed, “I lost my leg from bone cancer,” she said. “What happened to yours?” Brenda was so shocked that she couldn't say a word. “You're lucky.” Annie continued. “You've still got your knee. They had to take mine.”

    “I'd like to have a chat with you, but my friends are coming any time now, so I have to get ready.” Annie said when she took off her hair! Her head was completely bald(秃头的).

    “Oh, I forgot to tell you, the medicine they gave me to kill the cancer also killed my hair.” Annie looked out her wigs(假发), brown and yellow, short and long, straight and curly.

    There is an elephant and a monkey. They're friends. But one day they want to know who is stronger(更强壮的). A rabbit says. The one who can get apples from the tree across the river is stronger. The monkey says, "I can't swim." The elephant says. "I can swim. Please sit on my back. So they go across the river. The apple tree is very high. The elephant can't reach the apples on the tree. Do you know the Monkey Buffet Festival in Thailand? It is on the last Sunday of November. It is a great day for monkeys in Thailand. The festival has a history of 35years. People there think monkeys can bring good luck to them. So, to thank monkeys, they have this special festival. 

On that day every year, people put lots of fruit, vegetables, cakes and even drinks on the tables outside. They are all for monkeys. Many people come to see the monkeys on that day. 

During the festival, there are a lot of interesting activities about monkeys. Young people always dress like monkeys and they sing and dance and play some music on the street. 

Monkeys always live in groups. Most of them live in the trees. They are good at running and jumping. They eat fruit, vegetables, plants and birds' eggs. Monkeys are clever. Do you think so?

"You don't understand，"Henry said."On the third day a pig died and we had roast pork（猪肉）for dinner."

"Let me finish，"Henry said."on the fourth day the farmer died，and I didn't dare （敢）stay for dinner!"

One day, my father and I were in line to buy tickets for the circus（马戏表演）. And a family was standing in front of us.

The family had eight children. Their clothes were not expensive but clean. The children talked about the clowns(小丑), elephants, monkeys and other things excitedly. It was their first time to go to the circus.

The ticket lady asked the father how many tickets he wanted. He proudly answered, "I want eight children's tickets and two adults' tickets, so I can take my family to the circus. "

The ticket lady said the price. The man's wife lowered her head and there was no smile on the man's face. He quietly asked, "How much did you say?"
