In many Western countries, teenagers are allowed to move out at the age of{#blank#}2{#/blank#}. Their parents believe that they should be{#blank#}3{#/blank#} to care for themselves from an early age. In this way, when they start working, they can  {#blank#}4{#/blank#}

their own lives. In most Asian societies,{#blank#}5{#/blank#},it is not common for teenagers to move out. Chinese parents believe that {#blank#}6{#/blank#}  is better for children to live with parents who can take care of them. But the young should then look after their parents when they get{#blank#}7{#/blank#}. That is why many Chinese adults continue to live with their parents, even {#blank#}8{#/blank#} they get married.

    My favourite TV programme is a reality show called Survivor(《幸存者》). It isn't on TV at the moment {#blank#}1{#/blank#}  it was on last year.

    In the show, two teams of people are taken to a(an) {#blank#}2{#/blank#} . All of them have to sleep {#blank#}3{#/blank#}  because there aren't any houses or hotels. They usually choose {#blank#}4{#/blank#} really useful like a tooth brush since they can only {#blank#}5{#/blank#} one thing with them. The people also have to find food and they spend a lot of time fishing and collecting fruits from the {#blank#}6{#/blank#} . Every week one person has to{#blank#}7{#/blank#} . At the end, there are only two people on the island and one of them is chosen {#blank#}8{#/blank#} the winner.

    I really like Survivor because it's very {#blank#}9{#/blank#}  and the people have to do things like hunting for food. I really {#blank#}10{#/blank#}  myself when I watch it. I don't want to be on the show, however, I like 1iving in a house!

    “Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy(财富) and wise (智慧).”

    This is an old English saying (谚语)．Did you hear of it? It means that we must go to bed early and {#blank#}1{#/blank#} up early in the morning．Then we will keep {#blank#}2{#/blank#}．We'll also be rich and clever.

    This is true．The body must have {#blank#}3{#/blank#} sleep to be healthy．Children of young age should have ten {#blank#}4{#/blank#} sleep every day．Children who don't have enough sleep can't do their work very well．They won't be clever and they may not become rich!

    The body also needs {#blank#}5{#/blank#}．Walking, running, jumping, swimming and playing games are all exercise．Exercise the body strong(强壮).

    Exercise also helps the blood(血) to {#blank#}6{#/blank#} around inside the body．This is very important．Our blood {#blank#}7{#/blank#} food to all parts(部分) of our body．The head also needs blood． Exercise helps us to think{#blank#}8{#/blank#}.

Daughter's Love

    Do you often think of your parents： “Yes， of course.” you may answer. “I buy a present for my mother on {#blank#}1{#/blank#} Day and on Father's Day. I give my father a present， too.”{#blank#}2{#/blank#} what about the other days of the year? Always remember {#blank#}3{#/blank#} think of you parents， not just on some important days.

    I have a friend who lives alone， {#blank#}4{#/blank#} her parents live in another city. One day I went to see her. We {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(have) a talk. Then she wanted to make a call. So she dialed the number， but then she {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(put) down the phone. After about fifteen seconds， she dialed the number again， “Hi， Mom.”

    Later I asked， “Why did you dial the number {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(two)?” She smiled， “My parents are old and unhealthy. They can't get close to telephone {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(quick). I always do so when I call them. I just want to give them enough time{#blank#}9{#/blank#} answer the call.”

    My friend is a good girl. She is always thinking about her parents. You also want to be a good child， right? So why not learn{#blank#}10{#/blank#} her.
