    I have a little dog. Its name is Lady. Sometimes she is q, but sometimes she is naughty, She spends most of her time s. Lady sleeps ten hours a day in a basket. It is her h. Lady plays with a ball for four hours after she wup. She eats three times a day for ten minutes each time. Her favourite food is bones and meat balls. She even chews (啃) on a chair leg for half an hour if nobody stops her.

    Lady is a good watchdog. Lady uses fifteen minutes a day to bark at neighbor's who want to come up to our garden and another fifteen minutes to bark at the neighbor's cat. The rest of the time Lady sits and wthings around her.

    There was once a jeweler (珠宝商), famous for many virtues (美德). One day, some Arabs came to him for some diamonds to decorate an important thing for a yearly celebration.

    "When you came," replied he, "my father had the key to the safes (保险箱), in which the diamonds were locked, and as he was asleep, I would have to w{#blank#}8{#/blank#} him to gain them. At his age, a short of sleep u{#blank#}9{#/blank#} does him good; and no business is more important than my father's health."
