    My favourite TV programme is a reality show called Survivor(《幸存者》). It isn't on TV at the moment {#blank#}1{#/blank#}  it was on last year.

    In the show, two teams of people are taken to a(an) {#blank#}2{#/blank#} . All of them have to sleep {#blank#}3{#/blank#}  because there aren't any houses or hotels. They usually choose {#blank#}4{#/blank#} really useful like a tooth brush since they can only {#blank#}5{#/blank#} one thing with them. The people also have to find food and they spend a lot of time fishing and collecting fruits from the {#blank#}6{#/blank#} . Every week one person has to{#blank#}7{#/blank#} . At the end, there are only two people on the island and one of them is chosen {#blank#}8{#/blank#} the winner.

    I really like Survivor because it's very {#blank#}9{#/blank#}  and the people have to do things like hunting for food. I really {#blank#}10{#/blank#}  myself when I watch it. I don't want to be on the show, however, I like 1iving in a house!

    Around four years ago, I received a call from the headmaster of my son's school. He asked me to speak to a group the next morning. After the call, I became afraid. The time from his call to the next morning seemed like {#blank#}1{#/blank#}. The whole night, I could not sleep well. Many times, I wanted to call the headmaster with regret and tell him that I could not .come. Finally, I had some {#blank#}2{#/blank#}. I thought, "If I miss this chance, surely the school will {#blank#}3{#/blank#} invite me again to any of their programmes.  "

    The next morning, I reached the school on time. Before my turn came, my whole body was shaking with fear. When my turn came and I started {#blank#}4{#/blank#}, my heartbeat increased and my mouth went dry! I wasn't even able to read my paper {#blank#}5{#/blank#}. I didn't know where I was standing and what I was reading. That was the day when I realised what my biggest weakness was, Public Speaking.

    After my speech, I {#blank#}6{#/blank#} with the headmaster and explained what happened to me. He told me that this happened to {#blank#}7{#/blank#}. Even great speakers faced the same things when they started. He suggested that I come again next time.

    Around one month later, I was {#blank#}8{#/blank#} to give a talk again. This time I was feeling comfortable. My speech was appreciated (赏识) {#blank#}9{#/blank#} both the headmaster and the teachers. They praised my efforts a lot.

    After that, I became more confident when giving speeches. I learned that everything is {#blank#}10{#/blank#} if we have the courage to take the first step.

Education helps to change his fate(命运)

    17-year-old Cui Qingtao lives with his family in a village of Yunnan. He is the family's {#blank#}1{#/blank#} son. With a brother in a high school and a sister in Fourth Grade, Cui graduated from a high school this summer. To help his poor family {#blank#}2{#/blank#} money. When his mother read the admission letter to his father, a big smile broke out on {#blank#}8{#/blank#} face. "My son, you are amazing!"

    Cui got 669 points in this year's gaokao. Cui said he {#blank#}9{#/blank#} come back after graduation and try his best to bring prosperity(繁荣)to his village. "Getting an education is not only a way to change one's fate, but it's the {#blank#}10{#/blank#} way for people like me "Cui said.

    It was early morning. I got {#blank#}1{#/blank#}quickly. It was still autumn but colder than usual. It snowed for {#blank#}2{#/blank#}days. I forgot to check the weather report today, so I went out in a jacket.

    It was still dark, cold and {#blank#}3{#/blank#}. At that time, I knew I {#blank#}4{#/blank#} a wrong decision. I shook a little bit. Suddenly, a car stopped and one of my {#blank#}5{#/blank#}got out of it. We greeted each other and talked about the bad weather.{#blank#}6{#/blank#}, he took off his coat and handed it to me. He smiled and said, "It's too cold. Put it on." Looking at the warm coat in my hands, I was touched and thanked {#blank#}7{#/blank#}. After that, he drove away. When I looked up at the sky, I noticed the sky was {#blank#}8{#/blank#} and peaceful. I felt warmth inside me and I didn't shake any more.

    The world is full of kindness. Love is always there.
