One hot day, an ant was {#blank#}1{#/blank#}  for some water. After walking around {#blank#}2{#/blank#}  some time, she came to a river. To get to the river, she had to climb up a piece of grass.{#blank#}3{#/blank#} the ant was making her way up, she fell into the water.

 Just then a dove up a {#blank#}4{#/blank#} tree saw her. When the dove saw that the ant was in trouble, he {#blank#}5{#/blank#}  picked off a leaf and dropped {#blank#}6{#/blank#} into the water near the ant. The ant moved towards the leaf{#blank#}7{#/blank#} climbed up there. Soon it carried her safely to dry ground. Just at that time, a hunter (猎人) nearby was going to shoot the dove. As soon as the ant found {#blank#}8{#/blank#} the hunter was going to do, she quickly bit (咬){#blank#}9{#/blank#}  on the heel. Feeling the pain, the hunter {#blank#}10{#/blank#}  his gun. The dove was quick to fly away to safety.

   Everybody likes oranges. They are sweet and juicy. They are in sections, so it is{#blank#}1{#/blank#}  to eat them. Some oranges do not have any seeds(种子). Some have a {#blank#}2{#/blank#}  skin, and some have a thin skin.
   The orange tree is beautiful. It has a lot of shiny green {#blank#}3{#/blank#} . The small white flowers smell very sweet. An orange tree {#blank#}4{#/blank#} flowers and fruit at the same time.
   There were orange trees twenty million years ago. The oranges were very small, not like the {#blank#}5{#/blank#}  today. The orange tree probably came from China. Many different kinds of wild oranges{#blank#}6{#/blank#}  in China today. The Chinese started to raise(栽培) orange trees about 4,400 years ago.
   Farmers in other parts of Asia and the Middle East{#blank#}7{#/blank#}  to raise oranges from the Chinese. {#blank#}8{#/blank#} they taught Europeans. The Spanish planted orange trees in the new world (North and South America). They took them to Florida {#blank#}9{#/blank#} . Oranges are a very important crop in Florida today.
   In English, orange {#blank#}10{#/blank#}  both a fruit and a color. We use the name of the fruit for the color.

    In Journey to the West, the Monkey King often turns into a bug and spies on monsters. Today, scientists are trying to turn the story into reality by {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (make) robot bugs. Would you like to know what they {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (be) like?

    Robot bugs are small robots that {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (look) like bugs. People can use them {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (take) pictures in dangerous areas, follow bad guys, or help find survivors (幸存者) in broken buildings.

    Harvard University scientists have made a very small robot that looks like a fly. It weighs just 65 milligrams, or a little more than the plastic head of a push pin.

Of course, I look {#blank#}2{#/blank#} the English translations of his songs on the website so I can understand their meanings. Wang Feng was born into a musical family on June 29, 1971 in Beijing. He started{#blank#}3{#/blank#} the violin when he was five. In 1994,he found(组建) the band No. 43 Baojia Street. Unluckily, the band finally {#blank#}4{#/blank#} up and Wang Feng started his solo career(独唱生涯) Wang Feng writes his own songs. He once wrote a beautiful song {#blank#}5{#/blank#} Our Dream” for Beijing Olympics in 2008. In this song he described how happy the Chinese people {#blank#}6{#/blank#} to host the Olympics. If you've {#blank#}7{#/blank#} heard of Wang Feng before, I wish you could try to listen to his songs. I believe you will enjoy {#blank#}8{#/blank#} for years.     We're staying with Lingling's uncle in Hunan Province, and I'm having {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (冠词) wonderful time here in Zhangjiajie. We came out without  {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (make) any noise, {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (连词) found it was just a hungry monkey looking for food. This morning, we climbed Mount Tianzi! From the top we hoped to see the lakes and forests. But it was a pity that it was{#blank#}9{#/blank#} (cloud). We could only see the mountain tops above the clouds. Tomorrow we're going to Dongting Lake, {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (冠词) second-largest freshwater lake in China. We'll be back home next week! Wish you were here.
