The Xin'an Street Community(社区)began three programs not long ago.
The Neighborhood Clean-up Program
Every Sunday at 5:00pm, the neighbors begin cleaning Xin'an Street from one end to the other. The head of the Community, Zhao Fuqin, said, “The first Sunday, only eleven people came, but we picked up over seven big bags of rubbish (垃圾)from the sidewalk and street. The next weekend, twenty people came, and filled eight rubbish bags. Now the neighborhood really looks great!”
The Neighborhood Watch Program
The neighbors on Xin'an Street began this program to look for problems in the neighborhood and to call the police if necessary. The neighbors all say the watch has already helped.
SunYan, aged 60, a retired teacher, said, “In the past, I felt afraid at night. Now I know my neighbors are watching for trouble. ” According to the police, there are fewer problems on Xin'an Street. “Calls to 110 went down last month. Criminals knew that the people on Xin'an Street were watching, so they stayed away,” said a policeman.
The Neighborhood Fitness Program
A Health Club was built last month, where the neighbors can do different kinds of sports like basketball, ping-pong ball, tennis, etc. “Every morning you can see groups of neighbors running, dancing and playing Taijiquan. We have come to realize the importance of taking exercise,” said Chen Jinliang, a businessman of 45.

 请认真阅读下面短文,在答题卡标有题号的横线上,填入适当单词或括号内单词的正确形式。

For families suffering from the {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(lose) of their loved ones, grief chatbots(聊天机器人) can now help them still feel connected to the dead and find support in the digital world.

Since 2022, Super Brain, {#blank#}2{#/blank#} artificial intelligence(Al) company based in Nanjing, Jiangsu province, {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(create) digital avatars(化身) for more than 600 families.

"Technically, digital immortality(永生) is coming... which will enable everyone to have a virtual(虚拟的) online twin," said Zhang Zewei, co-founder of the Al company.

While creating digital avatars of those who have passed away, Zhang notes that the company has also helped over 100 clients(客户) in {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(make) their virtual avatars from their digital trails(痕迹) such as emails, photos and social media posts. The prices for the services can be from thousands of yuan to 10,000 yuan.

{#blank#}5{#/blank#} Zhang's clients are parents missing their only child, a woman wanting to say goodbye to her boyfriend who died in an accident, and a mother wanting to "revive(复活)" her husband to comfort their daughter.

While the idea might seem strange to some, Zhang believes that because of the emotional support the technology offers, those dealing with regret and loneliness following the loss of their loved ones {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(attract) to the technology.

However, he's still {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(sure) about how much of a connect ion that technology can offer. "A chatbot has no warmth," he argued, pointing out that these avatars cannot stay up to date with the latest information.

Tech experts and psychologists are also expressing worries. Wang Qiang, a psychologist in Beijing said that these "griefbots" could make people feel like they have a real emotional connect ion with the {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(die). But in fact, it could make people feel emotionally and mentally {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(bad), making it {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(challenge) for them to move on.

 阅读理解

In America, there are many cars. But there are few traffic jams and accidents. We hardly see traffic police in the street, but all drivers follow traffic rules strictly, and people hardly find that someone does not follow traffic rules in the street.

About American traffic rules, there are many good terms, such as:

Stop lines: There are stop lines in all crossings without traffic lights (some have two stop lines and others have four stop lines). All cars must stop while meeting the stop line.

Traffic lights: There are traffic lights in the crossing of the road. Cars may almost turn every direction, and the traffic lights can give signals step by step, including U-turns(掉头), There is a kind of middle lane(车道) of turning left. When a driver wants to turn left on the road, he may enter into the middle lane of turning left and give a signal of turning left. When he thinks it's safe, he may turn left.

Specific(明确的) items: As for parking. there are three kinds of lines (their colours are white, blue and red) in the roadside. Every line may park different kinds of cars. There are many streets in some residential areas (住宅区), but no car can park there at any period of time.

About the priority(优先权) of passengers and cars: In any case, passengers have the priority to cars. And only after passengers have passed the road, cars may go ahead.

In general, the traffic rules of America are very specific, convenient and safe.

 阅读下面的短文,然后根据括号内所给中文意思写出单词的正确形式。每空限填一词。

We often say, "When in Rome, do as the Romans do. " So what should we know about eating {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(一起) in Rome? If you receive an {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(请柬) to dinner at a home, it's proper to take a small gift, such as flowers and wine. Also, remember to arrive 15 to 30 minutes {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(迟;晚). And please feel free to ask for a tour when you arrive, because {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(意大利人) are proud of their homes and love to give tours.

When being {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(介绍) to others, you should shake hands with everyone. {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(女士) should extend(伸出) their hands first to men. Family or friends may greet each other with a kiss on both cheeks. It's quite {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(相似的) to that in the US.

When the table is prepared, a fork is placed on the left side of the plate and a {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(餐刀) on the right side. The fork and the {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(匙) at the top of the plate are provided for dessert. Wait until everyone is seated and {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(端上) before beginning the meal. Eat with a napkin(餐巾) on your lap(大腿部). Don't use your hands for eating and never place your elbows on the table.
